Great Jeans These are nice jeans but as another reviewer stated, they are basically like any other jean you would buy at any retailer. I have other jeans that are probably thicker than this. I do like the style however and don't mind keeping them. I bought the 27 and am 5'6" and weigh 115lbs. August 20, 2014
Look great on girl friend She is 5'6" and size 0 to 2. These pants fit and look great on thin waist woman with small butt. Low waist cut and there was no need to have pants hemmed. Not sufficient for primary protection when on bike. She wears a pair of over-pants with appropriate armor. She says she like the feel and do not ride down when on bike. June 19, 2014
Great looking pant but buy a size down These pants look and feel great however be aware of the following when buying online. They are a little on the large sizing. I am a size 10 with a larger than average backside so I usually find that a 10 is quite snug across the rear. However when these arrived was disappointed that they were quite loose around the waist and behind the thighs, essentially I could have gotten away with a smaller size, particularly given the fabric has a stretch element. They also sit a little low at the lower back area and if you are of a fuller bottom (as I am) you can feel a little exposed once you're in the riding position. Despite all this, they do look great on and are very comfortable to ride in.. I just wished I'd purchases a smaller size. January 1, 2014
Thin denim, kevlar is only in the knees This denim is the same weight as my regular jeans. 98.5% cotton, 1.5% lycra. The kevlar jersey is soft and ONLY at the knee. Hips and butt are unprotected. They are cute so I may look at some other Dainese's. I ordered 32 to go over hip and knee armor. I'm usually a 6, rarely 8. 32 fit OK, waist 2" below belly button. I measured the inseam on these 32 x 32's, and it is actually 31. Revzilla shipped these the same day I ordered and I had them in 2 days. There's a return sticker in the box, so hopefully the return is easy. December 7, 2013
Great Jeans I purchased a size 27 in these jeans. My normal size is a 0 or 2 in pants. They sit low on me so I wear a longer shirt so it stays tucked in. They are comfortable and cute! October 22, 2013
Not made for everyone The style is not made for women with any sort of curves. I'm 5'8" w/ 28" waist but more curves in the hips/rear, and these pants just couldn't cut it. Wouldn't recommend if you have anything more than a pancake in back. Very stylish and excellent quality otherwise. Definitely a good fit for those who love extra skinny jeans. I should have known better before purchasing these. June 30, 2013
True to size, I think... I love the way these jeans look. I am usually a 27, but I ordered a size larger (28) because I figured my regular jeans stretch and these likely do not. Also if they were a little bigger, that meant I could put tights or long johns underneath during winter. I should have gotten the 27 bc the 28 are slightly baggy. So, if you are worried you will not be your regular pant size in these jeans, just order your regular size. They run true. I think I still look prett bada$$ in them, even with a baggier fit! The "boyfriend" fit is in, right? The back pockets are roomy and have a durable zipper, so I can put things in my pockets if I feel like riding without a jacket or bag. The protection looks pretty light, as its only kevlar reinforced and not entirely kevlar. I would buy these in blue too when they have my size, and I will get a size smaller next time! June 5, 2013
Good pants They fit well, they are stretch but I would had take a size smaller. You have to wear it with a bell. Also, I would have take (but it wasn't possible) a longer size. We see the ankles when we are sit on the bike. June 3, 2013

A shopper asked: I've been reading up on the D19s and the D25s but there is conflicting information. On the D25 Q&A page you say the D19s are full kevlar weave, but on the D19 page you say they, like the D25s, only have kevlar in the knee.

I'm looking for a slim fit black woman's riding pant with full kevlar weave and ideally removable knee and hip protection. Is there any product like that out there? And for a reasonable price? I love the look of the D25s but if I'm trying to dress for a crash, kevlar only in the knee doesn't sound like enough.

Thank you

B U: D19's kevlar is ONLY IN THE KNEE and the denim is thin. They'd be almost worthless in a crash. I returned them.

The AGV Aura has good kevlar coverage. On me, if I use any hip armor they fit well. They get better reviews elsewhere than they do on this site.

A shopper asked: I'm 5"10.5" with an inseam of 35". Is there a way to obtain any of the women's Dainese pants in the appropriate length for my legs? or Alpinestars? Nov 8, 2012

FlyGurl: I just posted a review on the Speed/Strength Motolisa jeans as I too have that long of length. I've yet to find any pants in Dainese or Alpinestars that are long enough. They're made mostly in Italy where they must not have tall women there or something :) Mar 29, 2013

A shopper asked: it looks like it's just the knees, but i can't tell. thanks!!! Feb 10, 2012

RevZilla: That would be correct, the Kevlar reinforcement is only going to be in the knees. May 3, 2012

A shopper asked: This is completely off topic, but I was wondering which size Kat's wearing for the Dainese sneakers in the video. I'm about the same measurements as her so this might help me a lot!
Thanks!

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
