Dainese great fitted jacket I have a small build so I wanted something that was protective yet not bulky. This jacket fits that description and more. The elbow and shoulder pads fit me great and there is plenty of room in the back area to add protection. I measured my arms, chest and waist per the size chart and I would say this jacket is definitely true to size assuming you follow the chart. I am about 116 lbs, small chest, 5'6 and a size 42 fits me great but leaves plenty of wiggle room. You can also adjust the fit with the velcro tabs along the wrists and bottom of the jacket. Really a great buy if you are looking for something a little slimmer. May 20, 2013
The Perfect Summer Jacket As always, Dainese delivers an amazing product. This is a high quality summer jacket with great air flow. The fit is slightly on the small side which benefits me, as I'm 4'11" and 105 pounds. I got the size 38 in the color High Rise which is a medium to light grey. My only complaints are that there are no internal pockets for extra storage, but this keeps the design minimalistic and the fit snug. I would've also liked button snaps instead of velcro on the neck, as I feel visible velcro cheapens the style. Other than those options, this jacket is a definite must for hot summers. It's very comfortable in the forward riding position, and even with an added back protector, there was no pulling around the shoulders. (Hmm, now if they would only make it in white to match the rest of my gear, but that's just a personal preference.) April 15, 2013

Answer: 
Shoulder and Elbow protection are included, however, the back protector that comes with the jacket is only temperfoam. The pocket is made for upgrade to a Wave G1 Back Protector.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
