Dainese Veloce Gloves
My first long glove
I bought the black and white. I love it so far. One nitpick that I don't love is the risk strap. I live in Southern California so I will not be wearing this in the summer, doesn't breath very well in the heat in the high 80's and up but it should keep my fingers warm in the colder temperatures 40's and below. Like I say in all my reviews. I hope this product does it job when that day/night comes, crash.

Expected more from Dainese
The good: From knuckle to fingertips these gloves are great. Fit and movement are excellent. Palms offer good feel and are supple but this is where the compliments end.
The bad: As with other reviews the inner seams tend ti be bulky and certain joins dig into my hands. After a commute, these pressure points are painfully annoying. The wrist cuff is so small Its a tight fit and I really need to squeeze my hand thru. Note once the glove is on the fit is perfect. So its not a size issue. The gauntlet is large but not wide and is a pain to get over a riding jacket. I also dont see the gauntlet stretching much as its cheap stiff synthetic.
As this is Dainese I expected better. I checked other sets and the issues are the same across the board. I had to even double check to make I didnt get a fake.
One can definitely get a better glove for less

Not that great
Had a low speed crash, about 25mph. The gloves ripped wide open at the palm stitches, and got some gashes in my hands. The leather held up to the abrasion well, but it didn't matter because my skin got exposed instantly from the seams ripping. However even before the crash, other stitches were coming undone, and the velcro becomes less and less sticky, sometimes coming undone when riding. Protection and quality for the price is not very good.

Great, but . . .
I was looking to bridge the gap from light weight summer gloves to full-on winter ones and found these.
There is a lot to like about these gloves - style, curved fingers, kangaroo leather palms, cow hide, split knuckle protectors, gauntlet, plenty of padding, and did I say style?
I have a small to medium sized hand and the medium I bought is on the snug but is breaking in at about 1,000 miles.
Now for the things Dainese could improve on: Ventilation - 10 tiny perforations in the fingers and 2 tiny exit vents at the back of the knuckle guards. These gloves can and do get hot as the day heats up. Stitching - this is a complicated glove to stitch up, so there are some inner seams that are thicker than they should be and can cause irritation. There is also minor twisting in the fingers. Vinyl - Not evident in pics or description of this product, Dainese used vinyl for the material over the gauntlet. Not good or nice vinyl, really cheap vinyl. Really?? Not cool
Taking the good with the bad, I really like these, they are a really good pair of gloves that should age well (but for the vinyl)

I tried on dozens of gloves and none were as comfortable as these. They feel totally smooth inside with no rubbing from internal seams, and the fingers are actually long enough for me. I normally wear a size medium (or large in Alpinestars) so I was surprised that these fit me in a size small. I like the 2 piece knuckle protectors better than a one piece style because they wrap around your knuckles better. The gauntlet is thin enough to wear inside my jacket sleeve but can still be adjusted to fit on the outside. One thing I didn't like was the gauntlet sleeve piece, with the Dainese logo on it, is made of a vinyl material and not leather. There are gloves that offer more protection but they are much more expensive and even more uncomfortable, so I found these to be perfect.

Good gloves, but some problems
These gloves have the nicest leather of any I've ever tried. Besides that, they look fantastic. Even non-riders I've shown these too think they look great. The fingers and gauntlet fit and feel superb.
The knuckle slider is kinda weird. On one hand, it is super comfortable. Its like having a memory foam pillow resting on your hands. On the other, it creaks every time I make a fist. This may just be because they are new and not broken in, but it scares me.
Also, the internal stitching is terrible. It sticks so far into the gloves that it digs into the skin. The worst is right around where the retainer strap wraps around the wrist. I understand other reviewers have trimmed this down, but it seems unacceptable for an otherwise excellent glove.

Really comfortable and the air flow is amazing. The design could look better but I can deal with it. The price was really good and I would definitely recommend these to my friends.

These gloves are my current favorites because after breaking them in and trimming one seam that was poking my hand, they fit perfectly and are so comfortable. I wear size 2XL. They could use better perforation for more air flow but they don't get too sweaty up to 85 degrees. I'm now looking for a good short cuff glove as the sleeve on one of my jackets is a bit too bulky to get a gauntlet cuff over. Maybe a Carbon S-ST or Druid S-ST. But I love this glove when it's not blazing hot out. I now ride a 2015 S1000RR, mostly in the canyons.
