It does what it's supposed to. Good overall compromise.
The jacket fit is good and is intended to fit over your normal riding jacket. The hi-viz is it's best and worst feature. Great for ensuring you have the best chance of being seen. But it gets grubby very quickly with grease marks and general road grime. The other negative are the sleeve cuffs. They are elasticated with a Velcro tab, but the actual cuff is too narrow to fit over your gloves - especially with the elastic. Works fine with short cuffed gloves though. An external pocket would also be handy so that you didn't need to undo the main zip to access keys or coins. Otherwise at the price it's a good compromise between weight and rain protection.

Basic functions, and well done
This feels pretty sturdy for a basic rain jacket, as it should for the price. It won't flap itself to shreds as cheap PVC, or chintzy nylon jackets will do.
The color is not yellow, as one could suppose from the still pics, it is a lot closer to the video color, but not as washed out looking. It is very visible.
The sizing is over-your-gear, so order your approximate normal Dainese size, if you know what that is.

Robert M: Extra night time visibility - especially in the wet.Mar 15, 2015
Larry G: My tour master Elite did not pass mustard in our last trip. My sleeves were soaked and thankfully my windshield kept the rain off the rest of me. So I am looking for better rain gear and the hi-vis yellow is important as well. Have not experienced any rain just yet but will post once I have seen how well it works. The zipper is a little awkward to use.Jun 22, 2014
A shopper asked:Is there any difference from the previous Dainese rainjacket (BRUXELLES)? Does it have a thicker fabric for example? I'm interested because I would like to use it in the summer and don't really want a warmer one. (I have the Bruxelles already, but this is more visible),May 11, 2014
Robert M:I have an XL Spidi Net Force jacket and used to wear a size 54 Dainese leather jacket. The XL Dainese rain jacket fits over both of these without issue. There is plenty of adjustment in the torso and the forearms are a good fit. You'll need to extrapolate what that means to your size 48 jacket.Apr 28, 2015
Remar D:I've talked to a Revzilla rep and he said a size SM would fit a 46 to 48 jacket, including protectors. You might want to size up if you need something that you can put on in a rush. Just order both and keep the one that fits you and return the other one for a refund.Jun 4, 2015
