Dainese Motorbike Knee High Socks
Works well for me (6'1'); good in Gore-Tex boots from 40-70F (so far).

good sock not good compression
So as a sock they're pretty badass but in terms of compression not so much

These socks are less expensive and better than any compression socks I have found in sporting goods stores. They look good, but under pants and boots that's not important. The real deal is how mush better your legs feel after a ride. The fit is a little large, I wear a 10.5 shoe and bought a medium as one reviewer suggested. I will buy more of these socks, as the are now my go to sock for riding.

Awesome socks, makes your boot 100% more comfortable
Can't talk to the quality and durability, but the sock is incredibly comfortable and instantly transforms your boots too. They are a decent weight, without adding excess "thickness" and they should help with longer rides in terms of lower leg compression -- there's a decent amount of elasticity there. Certainly as advertised ...

I love these socks. They are the best socks I've ever had. They keep my feet the right temperature no matter what the riding conditions, they have excellent airflow and feel and, after a full day at the track, my feet didn't hurt. That's a first! Highly recommend - and have to all my friends. I know it seems crazy to spend this much on socks but if you spend a day on your bike, riding hard, you will be grateful for them.
I have Alpinestars racing socks and they have not held up to washings, have shrunk, are too warm and too tight. In contrast, these Dianese socks are everything I've grown to expect from Dianese. Superior comfort, functional design, nifty features and a slightly larger fit. They are a little roomy but nothing that folds over or causes any discomfort and I'm both female and have a narrow foot so I would say they fit mostly true to size. Unlike my unisex Alpinestars which are too tight. I'm a women's 9.5 (approximately) and I purchased a Medium.
*No idea why it says I still ride a 250, great bike but I'm on a RSV4-R :P

I bought these to go with my Dainese TR cours in air boots since I read so many reviews about the boots hurting your shin. After riding once without these socks I was very thankful that had them. The boots cause some fairly significant discomfort without knee high socks, but with these socks the discomfort is minimal.
They look great, breath well, wick sweat away from my feet, and have added cushion at the shin which was just what I needed! I liked them so much I went ahead and ordered a 2nd pair.

My Sidi boots are tall which is great for protection but bad for summer use since little air is getting down them turning my socks into a swamp. So I thought I would try the Dainese socks. Surprisingly they worked great doing 8-10 hour days on the bike in 92F heat. They were hardly damp at all and best of all no offensive odor.
On the down side, the $25 price tag is steep for a pair of socks. Also the socks love velcro becoming firmly attached to my Sidis' upper velcro requiring delicate attention so as not to raise the sock's fabric weave.
The socks were machine washed and dried without issue.

a motorcycling sock?
Okay, I was skeptical. Now that I've traveled a few hundred miles in these, I'm convinced. They really are that good. A bit spendy, but much better than ordinary boot socks. Highly recommended!
