A must have for the Dainese jeans If you bought the Dainese Kevlar jeans that have the insert pocket for these knee pads, you must buy these inserts. You don't have to but the added protection is a no brainer. It's a perfect compromise between style and protection. January 20, 2014
Must have accessory with D1 jeans Perfect complement with the D1 jeans. The jean pockets include tabs to secure these pads with Velcro. December 15, 2013
Protection I haven't crashed with these so I don't know how good they are but I feel much safer with them than without. I will say however that fitment is pretty good but I wish there was a better system of moving the knee guards up or down inside the pants. November 18, 2013
Dainese Kit J knee guards I bought these knee guards to go with the Dainese Kevlar riding jeans my girlfriend bought for me. The jeans have pockets in each knee on the inside that allow for knee guards. The pockets fit the Dainese Kit J guards perfectly - I believe they are the only guards that will. They are sturdy and I'm pretty certain are CE rated. You gotta have protection! The only issue I found is that on my third ride my knees began to get a little sore and chafed and that was more due to bunching of the fabric than the guards. I can remedy that easily with Moleskin, which is a good idea anyway since whatever helps with comfort is good for riding proficiency. Someone asked if there is a left and right guard and my answer is I don't think so. Not that I could tell. Anyway, Dainese makes great products! Revzilla sells great products with great service and prices. 'Nuff said! September 23, 2013
Great addition to D1 jeans I felt these were a necessary addition to the new Dainese D1 Armor ready jeans. Adding these pieces of knee armor does make the jeans very snug in the knees but on the positive side, they don't move around at all. They're comfortable enough for long rides and don't look bulky when off the bike walking around either. If you like wearing jeans when riding but want extra protection the D1 and J combo is a great choice. September 16, 2013
An absolute must if you buy the armor ready jeans A Kevlar weave isn't going to protect you from a split knee-cap. If you've purchased the armor ready jeans, just buy these in the same order. They fit great, and there is even some room for adjustment inside the pockets of the jeans. For some reference, I'm 6 feet tall, and my jeans are a size 32. The knee guards land right where they should. August 5, 2013
Great protection Not a lot to say about this product. They work great with the Dainese jean pants and they offer good protection. July 23, 2013
Must have It's a must have if you buy the D1 Denim. Summer riding makes my knees sweat . July 11, 2013

Dmitry N: If there are labels - then "SX" stands for Italian "sinistro" - "left", and "DX" - for Italian "destro" - "right". Sep 23, 2013

Eddie M: Hello DJ,

I don't have those installed currently as I need to order the proper jeans, however, I do speak Italian. If the guard is marked sinistra it is the left one. If it is marked destra it is the right one. These look like they may also be interchangeable.

Dj K: i thought the same but look at the shin specifically, ones side is straight all the way and one has a curve..the knee is also slightly different and one is labled SX and the other is labled DX Sep 23, 2013
A shopper asked: I understand that these are made for the D1 jeans, and I assume that the jeans have pockets for the knee guards, but do they also have straps that wrap around the leg so you can wear them with anything? Dec 10, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: No, the Dainese Kit J Knee Guards do not come with straps, as they are solely designed to be worn with the Dainese D1 Armor Ready Jeans.

If you wanted a set of knee guards equipped with straps which can be worn on their own, we would recommend the Dainese Knee V Guards.
