Quite simply the best track gloves I have ever worn. The construction is sold! As you work your way around the glove is so much attention to detail. Style is amazing as well. December 11, 2012
So good I want another pair. I've been wearing these gloves for about 8 months now. These are very comfortable, protective and well worth the price. When I first opened the package I was a bit dismayed because it looked like the yellow kevlar stiching around each digits were very uncleanly finished. There were a lot of small loops of kevlar everywhere. It didn't seem like there were any in the review video. But being what they are, they are extremely tough and don't tear off or fray. I still do wish it looked cleaner however. I originally got a large pair of these and then exchanged them for a medium. Looking back I should have gotten small. I have fairly wide hands and it was very difficult to put on even the large size but I knew it was too long for my fingers. Medium size gloves did fit very well at first in the fingers and quite tight for my palms but when they broke in, fingers were too long and palms were just right (I can fit glove liners in them#. I prefer the end of each digits to touch the glove when in riding position but now there is enough room to bother me when I'm going for the brake or clutch levers. Other than the size and the stitching #which I am convinced it's suppose to look so) every aspect of these gloves amazes me. Looks great, great protection, well venting durable and did I mention great looking? Well worth the price. November 27, 2012
Must have gloves! I just got mine a week ago. These are the best gloves I've ever had! Very comfortable, stylish, they breathe well and its Dainese so you know it will do great if you ever go down. September 30, 2012
Ultimate protection Having crashed 2x. Thank God i was wearing all my gears. Seeing this product and actually wearing it is totally worth the price. Your life and my life is worth more than a few thousand dollars in investment for gears. Go all out, get the best protection out there coz at the end of the day you'll say i'm glad i walked away from that crash unscade. Ride safe October 22, 2012
For the track, there are none better. Just the articulated fit, the range of feel and feedback possible in the hands, fingers and palms for greater front-end feel, make these the best track gloves money can buy. October 8, 2012
Great Gloves These Gloves are fantastic. They fit great and look great they are comfortable too. I've been using them on the rodes and i get no pain on my palm or hand. Haven't used them on the track yet but will soon. September 10, 2012
The best gloves! These gloves are the best protection for your hands that you can get. I work with my hands, so I researched many gloves before I bought these. The fit and quality are the best you can get. August 31, 2012
tight and needs to be worn in this is an amazing glove yet with all the carbon and titanium needs to be worn in, first day i got them i took a long ride and came back with sores on the knuckles due to the carbon on the fingers glove is getting better each day though August 27, 2012

Tried a pair at a local shop, I generally wear a size M glove and 54 jacket, but notice the sleeve area is noticeably tight when i wear the two together. Should I be looking at larger glove size to make the combination work?

Answer:
It is normal for the cuff and gauntlet to be tight at first. The cuff size of your jacket should not determine the size of the gloves you wear. If the cuff on your jacket has a larger opening, try wearing the gauntlet on the inside; if not, the gloves do stretch over time, so they will progressively become more comfortable if you are wearing them with a leather jacket (that is nearly skin tight). Wearing the gloves in the rain could help speed up the process. Another option would be to choose a glove with a wider gauntlet, such as the Dainese Steel Core Carbon gloves.

Can I use the dainese leather cleaner/conditioner safely on the glove? The instructions say to use a cold, damp towel, but that doesn't really do much in terms of cleaning. I have the white glove and after only two rides the palms are beginning to darken :/

Answer:
On the leather parts you can use a leather cleaner/conditioner. I don't have one in particular to recommend you.
Keep in mind the discoloration on the palm is from the hand grips and the pores of the leather are taking that in. You would do well to clean the grips as frequently as the gloves or more so. If the grips are rubber they will shed tiny particles that embed in the leather. The rubber protectants, such as Armor-All, would make the grips very slippery.
Good riding!

I've used Chelsea Leather Food on my soccer cleats for years (made from kangaroo leather) and they look nearly perfect. Cold water to clean dirt and grit off, and the conditioner penetrates the leather to keep it supple.

I currently have a pair of Alpinestars SMX2 - Air Carbons in size XL. They fit relatively well in the palm, but the fingers are quite a bit to long.

What size would be best for the Full Metal Pro's? Large or XL?

Answer:
I would say XL just because the Full Metal Pro is a full racing glove and tends to fit pretty snug. However, with Revzilla's exchange policy you should feel comfortable ordering an XL and just sending em back for L if it doesn't pan out. Good luck man.

Answer:
I usually wear size "L" with most glove brands but wear "XL" with Dainese gloves.

I have 3 dainese gloves including the metal pro. I don't have any experience with Alpinestar gloves, however. The Dainese gloves fit smaller with shorter finger length. I think an XL should fit you well... Unless you have thicker than average palm, then go 2XL. I do have to warn you that the entry is difficult around the cuff in the beginning. Again, a Dainese trait but once broken-in they are great!

There are forums where people sell off their full metal pro dainese gloves for one reason or another (wrong size, etc.). Is there any way to identify whether the gloves is authetic or replica? There are in fact many replicas coming from China, and there is possibility that these people in forums are selling off replicas. Please advice.

Answer:
Yes, buy from a reputable dealer - I know they are more expensive, but a counter-fitter is going to counter-fit labels as well.

You could also look at the quality of what is on the forum, although you won't likely be able to see them first.

Answer:
I know nothing about the full metal pro line. Depending on the forum I would look for other things they are selling or put a shout out about if others have heard of this person selling to get an idea if they are selling in bulk. Ask for pictures because the Dainese imprint on my gloves is on the top of hand and running down the stitching.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
