Dainese Air Frazer Pants

The Dainese Air Frazer Pants were designed for sports riders looking for pants that offer great ventilation but don't skimp on technical features or performance. The riding pants are finished in fine cowhide, highly resistant Cordura 750 and a breathable mesh fabric. Ergonomics and comfort are taken care of by elasticized inserts and by flexible Microelastic inserts at key pressure points. An adjustable waist, ankle zips and a zip system for attaching the pants to a jacket enhance both wearability and ease of use. Active and passive safety factors include certified composite protectors and reflective inserts.

  • Composite protectors certified to EN 1621.1 Standard on the knees

Ergonomics and Comfort:

  • Washable cow leather
  • Mesh fabric
  • Cordura 750 fabric
  • Elasticated inserts
  • Waist adjustment
  • Calf zip
  • Jacket-trousers fastening system
  • Sanitized lining

  • Removable knee sliders
  • Reflective inserts
  • Denoted as Dainese P. Air Frazer Tex+Pelle in Dainese catalog

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chest: Measure from under/top of armpit across chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.

lots of airflow I've been using these in 80-100+ weather for serious Canyon Riding. Fabulous: I feel VERY protected and comfortable with the heat. I've also experimented with dousing myself with water and the fake leather shows no signs of weird wear or deterioration. I haven't experienced a "slide" with them yet, and hope I don't, but with added protection around my hips, the companion jacket (nicely zipped together), and a high level of protection from boots and gloves, I think I'm adequately protected to minimize injury. I now feel these pants would have been worth regular price though I was lucky to get them at a discount. November 23, 2015
A good cheap options for riding pants that are breathable. Love the more simple look of these. Just wish there was a little more protection. October 14, 2015
Summer loving I love these pants. They are very comfortable and they give me the protection I'm looking for in my city riding. I'm not sure how much airflow they give, but I still feel a little muggy in hot weather. For the price, these pants are a deal and an absolute "must have" for summer riding gear. September 29, 2015
Perfect with a textile jacket These run a little large... I normally wear a 48. I'm 5'10" 165# 30-31 inch waist, and Dainese one piece suits and jackets fit like gloves. But these pants in a 48 had at least 2 inches of slack in the waist and the thighs were slightly baggy. Otherwise, the design and construction are typical Dainese (excellent) and I would recommend these for summer riding. March 24, 2015
Good pants for summertime sport-riding Very nice pants, excellent quality materials and construction is top notch. The only thing I would add are hip and tail bone protection, but that can be achieved by wearing armored shorts underneath. These pants flow great when moving, more than jeans do. I have only ridden in 70 degree weather with these so far, so I cannot comment on using them in very hot conditions, but I expect them to be comfortable up to about 90 degrees. I wear a 30x30 in Levi jeans, and the size 46 fits perfect. The sizing chart is accurate. They need a little time to break in before they really fit comfortable, especially the knee armor. March 16, 2015
Very good pants, but still a bit warm in the heat I am very happy with the quality, protection, and style of these pants, but they aren't nearly as impressive at beating the summer heat as implied, though they are better at it than 100% leather. I bought these for summer, but found them far better suited for spring and fall. Comfortable temperature range is between 50-80F. These pants can stretch into the 30s F with a good pair of long underwear on underneath. The protection appears very good, though they lack any hip or tailbone padding. I wear padded shorts under mine. Only other gripe is I wish they had pockets. Sizing: They ride low on your hips so your hip measurement is more important than waist measurement when sizing. The fit is good overall, but slightly small on the thigh. My only negative perception in that this pants are not able to use with inside boots! The fit is good overall, but slightly small on the thigh. My only negative perception in that this pants are not able to use with inside boots, so I will need to go to a taylor to sew an additional zipper, similar to full leather pants. January 5, 2015
My favorite Dainese Pants Found these pants when I was visiting the Philly store and immediately fell in love with them. Love the leather seat, as well as the venting in the legs. They were a perfect fit for me, so much so that I'm going to buy the Air Frazer Jacket next. I already have three Dainese jackets, love them all, as the span the riding seasons. I'm leaving shortly for a road trip with some heat along the way, and I fully expect these pants will provide the comfort and protection I've come to expect. Dainese always puts a zipper on the back of the pants that connects them to their jackets, a feature I really like. Also like the pucks on the pant knees, but hope they never have to touch the pavement. I don't think you can ever go wrong with Dainese.......their gear is always stylish, functional, and solid. RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
D W: Good deal on good protection. Nov 24, 2015
Ondrej H: Sale :) Oct 13, 2015
David R: Wanted protective riding pants. Aug 26, 2015
D F: Big believer in Dainese.. Plus my last name is the same. Jul 6, 2015
D F: Goes with the jacket I just ordered. Superior quality. Apr 21, 2015
Andrew G: Wanted the most safety while still being fairly comfortable in the summer. Mar 18, 2015
Linda N: Great buy for the buck. Dec 16, 2014
Michael S: Good fit between full leathers and riding jeans and cooler in the Singapore/Malaysia climate Nov 12, 2014
Horacio F: Air flow or cooling. From the gear reviews on this item I think it is perfect for me. I run a lot hotter than most, in reviews people that use my current gear (not this item) in the summer say it's great for the season. Meanwhile I'm burning up and sweating a storm. Anyhow I hope this item helps regulate my body temp. Sep 25, 2014
Daniel C: They were the matching pants for the Frazer jacket. Nothing not to like about them, they're perfect! Sep 23, 2014
David B: I chose these pants because they offer great protection, and fantastic ventilation for the hot summers in Australia when leather is just plain uncomfortable.
Thank you.
Sep 18, 2014
Michael K: I wanted a pant to go along with and zip into my Dainese Xantum D-Dry Jacket, but more orientated for the couple of track days I attend. Track days are always warm, so the air venting design, along with knee pucks was a good combination adding versatility over other designs. Best part is that I can take off the knee sliders when I'm touring off the track. Jun 9, 2014
Alejandro m: Dainese quality, warm weather riding. Apr 13, 2014
Brett K: I live in hot Northern Australia where all my mates refuse to wear leather, but I wanted leather and full shin/knee guard protection with the most ventilation possible. Feb 19, 2014
A shopper asked: Can those pants be worn together with the Dainese Torque Pro IN boots (suit to boot fastening system) ? Feb 7, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (3) No (0)
Tom B: I tried on the pants today at the store and came to the conclusion that no, these cannot be worn with IN boots. It's too tight when fully zipped on bottom to fit an IN boot under there. I already own IN boots and that's the only thing stopping me from getting these pants. Mar 22, 2014

Arseniy S: I am also wearing Torque Pro.
Still waiting for the pants to arrive but they've got a video about Air Frazer Pants where the model guy is wearing both Torque Pros and theese pants. Think it is possible.

Fausto S: So you have had both the Toque Pro In boots and the Air Frazer pants for a little over a year, right? Were you able to use the IN boots with this pant? Apr 3, 2015
A shopper asked: Does it have a tibia protector? Dec 7, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Daniel N: This is incorrect, there is substantial knee and tibia armor. Basically everything from the knee to the bottom of the pant leg (which goes to big ankle bone) is armored. There is no hip armor, or anything above the knee really. May 22, 2014

tsuyoshi t asked: Sizing question. I am 165cm, 60kg size 30inch jean size. I went to a D store and they didnt have the Air Frazer pants in my sizes but tried the Horizon pants (tex/leather) and found the 44 was way too tight (couldn't button it up but the leg length is OK) but the 46 was just right (length was a bit long). Does the Air Frazer fit the same as the Horizon? I've been hearing stories that it is a little big in each size. Also the video shows they tuck into boots. If the length is a bit long, will there be a problem having them in the boots ( the Dainese sizing for 46 show a height of 169-172) Jun 8, 2015

Vladimir M: I bought a size 52 euro. It is fit perfectly to me. My height is 6 feet, 37 inches waist. These pants are made so they can be worn over shoes or inside if you wish. I think for you to fit the 44 euro size. Jun 8, 2015

A shopper asked: Can thin street pants be worn under these? May 1, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Tu T: Depends on how thin of a pair of pants you are talking about. These are a skin tight race fit for me. You might be able to get a pair of compression thermal pants underneath but otherwise they don't really allow for much layers to be worn with them. May 4, 2015

Horacio F: I would say no, It would be a really tight fit and uncomfortable as well as hot. I carry a backpack with a change of clothes and ride with these pants ovr my boxers. May 1, 2015
Reply to Horacio Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Jim P: If you're asking if these can be work as overpants I would doubt it. You have to keep in mind that the bottom of the leg has zippers to zip tight into boots. May 1, 2015

Arseniy S: No. It's very tight. May 6, 2015
Reply to Arseniy Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Randall C: Short answer: yes. I wear fitted corduroy, jeans, or shorts under them occasionally. It is reasonably comfortable. The sizing on mine is such that I have to pull the velcro cinch tabs pretty tight at the waist, so I am not sure how comfortable they would be with trousers under them if I had a smaller size. A shopper asked: Why would be the major differences between using Air Frazer Pants + Air Frazer Jacket vs full racing suit? Thinking about track days once in a while. Aug 29, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Ryan B: The difference is the level of protection. If you're going to be on the track then you need leathers. I wear the Frazer set as street gear and a 2-piece Dainese set at the track. Most tracks won't allow this suit. If they do its only going to be in a novice setting. Regardless, leather is the way to go on a track. I am assuming you are looking toward your first track day. If you had attended a track day already, you probably wouldn't be asking the question. When you go to the track for the first time you will fully grasp the need for the protection of leathers. Sep 3, 2015
Reply to Ryan Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Nicholas M: I know I purchased these two separate items so that I didn't have to purchase a full suit. I track my bike maybe twice a year so for me I wanted a more modular set up for wearing the jacket and jeans or jacket and pants for track days or if I just feel like wearing them. Aug 29, 2015
Reply to Nicholas Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Arseniy S: You just feel more comfortable in hot weather.
And cocearning protection I didn't like it very much for the elbows. Overall you have less protection of course than using a traditional full racing suit. All the rest is quite nice.
Have fun.

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Daniel N: They are meant to go to the big ankle bone, and they are pretty tight, I don't see how these could fit over any boots really. The length of your boots look like it would be close, if they aren't meant to have pants tucked into them they likely won't work. They would fit your jacket nicely. May 22, 2014
