CRG Billet Internal Adaptor For CRG Bar End Mirror

This is the Billet Internal Adapter for the Arrow, Hindsight, Hindsight LS and Blindsight Billet Bar End Mirrors. CRG makes this assembly to offer an alternative to the basic Bar End Mirror mount. This assembly will work on bars with internal diameters as small as 12mm (.475”) and as large as 19mm (.750”). This range covers virtually all aluminum and steel bars/clip-ons.

Whenever possible, CRG recommends mounting the Hindsight Billet Bar End Mirror with the basic mount which clamps to the outer diameter of a 7/8” handlebar/clip-on. Using the basic mount is the bar end mirror solution using the fewest parts, facilitates the easiest installation and removal, is the lightest weight, and provides for the most secure bar end mirror mounting. Use of the basic mount requires having 10mm (3/8”) of bare bar outboard of the grip/throttle assembly. Before purchasing the mirror adapter, try moving your grips and controls inboard (away from the end of the bar). In many applications, the mirror can be mounted with the basic mount.

Features:

  • 6061-T6 aluminum CNC machined billet construction
  • Black anodized finish
  • Sold each

Application range:

  • Minimum bar internal diameter 12mm (0.475")
  • Maximum bar internal diameter 19mm (0.750")

Great Adapter For my FZ8 I gave 3 stars for "installation" because it took some work to remove excisting bar end adapter. After all was said and done. The adapter work perfectly and CRG mirrors look AWESOME as well!!! September 22, 2014
Not Universal I have a 2013 Triumph Street Triple and these bar ends do not work with the OEM bar. The bar on the street triple is not hollow and has a thread for the bolt that is it. I made this adapter work by grinding it down and had to used a different bolt which the size was in between the oem and one included in the kit. Overall the bar ends are good and the crg arrow bar end mirrors are great and give me a better view compared to stock ones September 8, 2014
A little pricey, but necessary. Considering the already high price of CRG mirrors, it seems a little ridiculous for them to make you pay *another* $20 for each handlebar just to be able to fit the mirrors. (The instructions say that if you don't want to spend the extra money, you can just "move all of your controls inward," as if that's something you can easily accomplish in 2 minutes with your bare hands.) And, the instructions are a little light on detail -- it takes a little figuring out before you realize that the thing works like a giant origami puzzle, and you have to get the pieces to fit together just so, hold them together and hope they don't come apart before you get them inside your bars. Once you've figured all that out, though, the installation is quick, and they work like a charm. Rated them as "average" on durability because I've only had them on the bike for a month or so. However, they seem pretty sturdy, and unless I drop the bike on its side, I don't see them coming off or falling apart anytime soon. August 4, 2014
Accept no substitues Before I purchased these adapters I tried to use an off-brand bar-end adapter from another website. They didn't fit quite right, didn't go in all the way, and I couldn't get them to come out. As a result, I had to replace my handlebars completely and put the proper CRG adapters on them. They fit flush against the end of the bars (1" outer diameter - Triumph Thruxton) and look great! July 7, 2014
Piece of cake Very easy to install once you figure out how it goes together on a 2011 Ducati Monster. Don't need the included spacer to make it work. June 30, 2014
Does Not Play Nice With Stock Threaded Bar Inserts Before I bought these, I posted a question asking if they were compatible with the stock threaded inserts on the bar ends. Didn't get an answer, but I saw somebody else say they mounted these on their Street Triple. So I tried them on mine, and they are not compatible with the threaded bar ends. They've got a long pointy bit of the adapter itself that sticks about half an inch into the bar, so they can't screw right on there. You would have to take the stock ends off and move the controls. That's not something I was interested in doing. I bought a knock-off CRG (you know the ones, they're easy to find and usually cost less than $20 bucks), and used its adapter, which does not have a pointy bit. The CRG clamped right onto there, and the whole thing screwed onto my stock bars without any fuss. It is also much more secure than a shimmed insert would be. May 1, 2014
Love these things! After picking up some Rizoma bars my CRG hindsights wouldn't fit. These cured the problem. Very easy to install (just read the instructions if you get confused. The picture will show you how to use the slanted spacers) and work perfectly. No vibration in my crg's using these. I haven't crashed them so idk how they hold up but they hold the mirrors perfect and look great. Very happy with these, if you need them, don't hesitate to buy them. March 31, 2014
Had to have them but they work perfect and look great! I had to buy these for my crg bar end mirrors to fit on my 2007 Ducati Monster 695. At 1st i thought they were a bit pricy but the end result is great! They are easy to install and work perfect. March 10, 2014

A shopper asked: Can you mount a bar-end slider onto the end of this this adapter? Jun 24, 2014

Clarke B: They can mount on the end of the adapters, but you would need longer bolts and you would most likely have issues with them being in the way of properly adjusting the mirror. Also, most bar ends have a ridge and are not flat on the side that mount to the clip-on. Jun 24, 2014

Gerard B: that's a good question. i think that if you customize it, you would have made a new product for this manufacturer to make. just saw of the bottom insert of the bar ends and use a longer screw and you got yourself a winner Jul 19, 2014

A shopper asked: I purchased this product to adapt the CRG Arrow Bar End Mirrors on my 2015 Yamaha FZ-07. The none throttle side works perfect, however, on the throttle side when the adapter is tightened it causes the throttle to stick. The grip is completely clear which I read elsewhere that was the issue in some cases. Any suggestions on a solution? Aug 15, 2014

William G: I installed mine on a 2014 FZ-09, which probably has similar bar end configuration. The handlebar weights thread into the handlebar and form the end of the handlebar surface. Once the stock weights are removed, the actual handlebar is recessed into the grip about .5". That is why the adapter causes drag on the throttle; obviously and an unsafe condition. It was not feasible to re-locate the controls inward due to space. The only proper solution is to replace the handlebar with an aftermarket handlebar that allows the end of the handlebar to extend to the end of the grips. I used a Renthal Fatbar on my FZ-09. The FZ-07 uses a conventional 7/8" tubular handlebar; finding a suitable replacement should not be difficult. Aug 16, 2014

Derek L: I haven't bought the adapters, but I felt like I would have the same problem. I also have the FZ-07 with the CRG Arrow mirrors. My solution I am going to try is to find either a VERY large set screw, or if the handlebar isn't hollow all the way through, put a metal spacer that the bar ends will tighten down onto, bumping them out just enough to attach the mirrors.
