Well featured bag, easy fit, good size. I bought this bag last year, and have used it consistently since then. I took it on a trip around Lake Superior, and it held up pretty well. It fits great, and sits on the gas tank without moving around. It didn't seem to scratch the tank, but I was careful to pick it straight up and off the tank without letting it slide. I also kept the magnetic contact points free from dust or other dirt. I went through a lot of rain on this trip, and the included rain cover kept the contents of the bag dry unfailingly. I do worry how long the rain cover will last since it is stored wadded up in the front of the bag. When not in use, I keep mine spread out. The bag is big enough to keep a bottle of water, snack, and other odds and ends that are handy to access quickly. The pocket closest to the rider is useful to keep a wallet, phone, or other small incidentals in. One feature that really came in handy was the ability to turn the bag into a small backpack. Being able to pick the bag up off the bike, snap the clips onto it and walk off is really useful for extra-vehicular excursions. The only downsides for me were that the main zipper rubs on the fabric that covers the seam inside the bag causing it to deteriorate. Second was the rain cover. It looks like PU covered nylon, and it has been my experience that the PU coating will eventually flake off over time. This will render the cover effectively useless. The seams where the plastic [for the map pocket] is mated to the nylon are taped, so hopefully they will remain leak free. As I mentioned before, I store my rain cover out of the bag and opened up to avoid any creases. Hopefully this will extend the life a bit. Overall this seems like a really nice, quality bag. I would expect to continue using it until it falls apart. I don't really have any comparison for the price, but $100 seems a bit steep to me. Again, this is without any real frame of reference, and I might just be being miserly. I would buy this bag again, and recommend it to friends with the above being said. April 23, 2015
Map case sucks! I like the overall design and function but the map case is useless. It is too small and difficult to get maps in/out. You have to fold the corners of the map which ruins them. I replaced mine with a larger square universal map case. April 10, 2015
Nice Small Bag Great bag for the price. It's small, will hold some gloves, shield cleaner and wallet/phone but not much else. but I didn't need a huge tank bag. December 27, 2014
Great tank bag This fits just right on a Honda CB500x. I only have one complaint and that it's rainfly is not even remotely waterproof. I test all of my gear if it claims to be "waterproof" and this simply isn't. I am sure if you spray waterproofing spray all over it and all over the rain fly, it would be better. Other than that, I take this bag everywhere! October 12, 2014
Love this thing! So glad I bought this! Snaps tenaciously to the tank with strong magnets, but easy to pull off and take with you. Holds a LOT- wallet, glasses, 3 pairs of gloves, water bottle(s), hat, keys, phone, map, gps, credit card and change in easily accessible outer pocket, etc, much easier to get in and out of than panniers or handlebar bag. Rain cover in its own special pocket. Unobtrusive while riding. September 11, 2014
Cortech Super 2.0 8-Liter Magnetic Tank Bag Awesome. Every emergency thing I needed fit nicely into this tank bag. The plus was I could see my cell phone quickly and clearly. Also it stayed in place perfectly. This was a great gift for me from my mom. August 18, 2014
quality contruction it is just the right size for the FZ09! Zippers work well and are heavy duty. Nice finish June 20, 2014
Great little bag!! I commute about 54 miles round trip to work 5 times a week on freeway, and I needed a small and secure bag so I don't have to wear my backpack. Upon reading many reviews and video, I picked up this small bag and I'm very happy with the purchase. I put toll lane transponder on the top lid where paper map suppose to go, and store wallet, phone, pair of pants ( I can't wear motorcycle pants at work so I bring regular pants to change), and some other stuff in the main compartment. Plenty of secure and well thought out small pockets as well. The bottom surface area that faces to metal tank has scratch free surface which works really well. Magnet is strong enough to stay on tank for sure. One thing that bothers me is that it kind of gets in the way in body position when I try to turn corner quickly. I have GSXR600 and its gas tank has plastic on front half, and metal on back half so I have to put this bag little closer to my chest which makes it little difficult to move and lower my body to sides during fast cornering. But I'm very used to it now and don't corner hard when I have this bag on. Great little bag ! May 26, 2014

Wilson H: This is the bag that fits all my normal pocket stuff for work. I depocket all of my work tools so that on my ride home (well to work as well) I can be comfortable. The magnetic hold downs stick tight through all kinds of heavy cross winds. Funny thing about this bag. It fits with the handle to the front on my Honda ST1300 and handle to the rear on my son's Yamaha FZ6 Fazer. Nov 27, 2014
Maximillan Z: My Brother has one and I love it! I figured I'd have to get my own someday... so today is that day! Great size, solid magnets that hold at all speeds (providing its not overpacked/too heavy). Recommend ! ! ! Oct 6, 2014

Jose B asked: is the Cortech 2.0 suitable for a F800GS, if not pls recommend one which does, thank you? Mar 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Wilson H: The Cortech 2.0 is set up for a metal tank. The size is small, but very usable. It should work on any bike with a steel tank the magnets will stick to. Mar 21, 2014

Justin F asked: Does this bag have the backpack straps like the 12 liter version? Does it have any form of carrying straps or just the handle? Mar 20, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
jose luis h: It does not have backpack straps. This bag is too small for that, it only has the handles. It does have the loops to attach a strap to it though. Mar 21, 2014
Reply to jose luis Good answer? Yes (2) No (0)
Justin F: Thanks, so some say it comes with shoulder strap and some say it doesn'tt. Appreciate the response, at least with the loops I can snap a $3 guitar strap to it if necessary. Appreciate the response Jose. Mar 21, 2014
Jeffrey K: No backpack straps, but there is an included shoulder strap that clips into a sturdy/nice plastic ring on the bag's front (and doubles, I think, as a safety strap you can secure around the steering yoke; I've never done this given how solidly the bag's magnets grab the tank). It's not great as a shoulder strap, frankly, but it does work. And the big, fat grab handle is great.

I used this bag on a 5,000+ mile tour of Western US/Canada. It is small, though, and so I've added the 18-Liter version for future long trips. I prefer this bag for day trips. I'll echo the statements made by others about how small the map pocket is -- it's great for displaying directions to a specific location (or a smallish picture of a loved one), but that's about it.

Hassan M: Hello, I have not used this bag yet, but it came with a long belt/strap that I am assuming is for carrying off the bike.

Justin F: Thanks. Some say it does some say not. Hopefully the one I order does. Thanks for the response Hassan. Mar 21, 2014
Shawn N: Just the handle, no carrying straps. Mar 20, 2014

Warren M: This bag only has the carry handle. Mar 20, 2014

Wilson H: It comes with a strap that is usable for a shoulder strap I guess, but it really isn't set up to be used that way. I don't know if you have looked at this bag closely, but it is an 8 liter bag only if it has been stuffed till nothing else fits. It really is very small. It would be about the size of a back pack for a preschooler to take their lunch in and that is about it. It works great for what I needed it for, but if you want a Tank bag/ backpack you might want to look at the larger bags. This will fit a camera (one extra lens), a small grab bag of trailmix, and a small can of liquid refreshment. After that you will be needing more bag. But to answer your question there is a strap that comes with it and also a rain bag that has a clear top and keeps the inside dry. (Ask me about the three days in torrential rain coming back from Oregon) The bag itself is very well made and has a nice soft interior that I like a lot. The magnets on the back hold very well too. Really no complaints other than it is kind of small. Has lots of pockets inside too. Mar 21, 2014

Justin F: Haha, a picture of a loved one.
Thanks for the info! Don't need anything to carry it around all day, just while checking into a hotel or getting off the bike at a food/rest stop. Sounds sufficient enough for the purpose.

Randy S: No, there are no regular backpack straps because the storage case is relatively small. The case includes two (2) detachable straps with plastic luggage connectors. My preference is to use the quick and easy external handle. Mar 21, 2014
Reply to Randy Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
jose luis h: I honestly don't remember if it came with a strap as I never use those. Mar 21, 2014

Maxime C asked: Can you fit a spare visor in this tank bag?

I like to go on evening rides. I need a smoked visor for the beginning og the ride because of the sun set but I later need a clear visor when it gets dark. Could I fit a spare visor in this bag?

Nov 6, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
JeRome W: I just tried it with my smoke lens and it will fit as long as you put the lens in first (before anything else) with the shield toward the front end (end with the rain shield) it is very tight and you will have to work with it a little but there didn't appear to be any risk of scratching or breaking the lens. Ryan K: Yes. I did a cross country ride and was able to carry an extra visor for an Arai Corsair V. Bit snug, and have to be a bit careful zipping it up, but it is possible. Nov 6, 2014
Reply to Ryan Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Edward M: I think you should go the size larger. It's very well designed, nice features, doesn't damage the paint on the tank, but the 8 liter is not as big as you'd think. Nov 6, 2014
Reply to Edward Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Chris Z: I just tried putting a visor in there, and it fits! Plus there is still room for other stuff because it wraps around the edges and leaves a wide open space in the middle. This was a visor for a Shoei helmet; I'm not sure if others have larger sizes. Nov 7, 2014
Reply to Chris Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
David S: Yes a spare visor fits perfectly in this tank bag! I always keep a either a sun visor or clear visor in there. Nov 7, 2014
