Cortech Super 2.0 8-Liter Magnetic Tank Bag 4.3 5 15 15
A Great Bag This tank bag is awesome. It's just the right size for around town and overnight rides. It sits perfectly on the tank of my Triumph Explorer and I can't fault it. I will buy the 12ltr in the near future. I have a month long trip coming up. April 11, 2014
Well made and excellent size I wanted something easy to install and remove as needed. Also, wanted something for hat, gloves, keys and iphone if needed as GPS. This is the perfect size, fits well on the tank of a Kawasaki ZZr 1200, has tons of pockets inside for smaller things, and a strap to carry if needed. March 24, 2014
Good for the little things I got this format boyfriend and he uses it often! Generally, he only puts his wallet, phone, and sometimes a water bottle. It stays in place very well and is comfortable when riding. It really is a good product! March 17, 2014
A great magnetic tank bag. The build quality is excellent on this bag. High quality components used throughout the materials, and the magnets are extremely strong. I never once had an issue with it moving even slightly off my tank. I ride a '13 Tiger 800 XC and the tank is small and slopes down fast compared to more traditional bikes, but this bag fits great. Anything larger would not have fit well on this tank. However, I give this product a 4 star because of the strange way it is designed to be wider at the back and thinner at the front. Not sure why they didn't keep it the same width, but it makes it so things like my ipad will not fit in this thing. They fit in the back, but the front is too narrow. Also the cell phone pocket is way too small to fit even my iphone 5, which is ridiculous. Not sure what the point of that thing is at all. All other pockets are great though and it comes with a nice rain cover. February 18, 2014
A nice, compact bag... This bag does all it claims to. It's size has limitations but works great for what I wanted it for, i.e. a place to secure my wallet, eyeglass case, house keys, gloves when I'm not riding, etc. etc. The interior surfaces are soft and cushy and while I appreciate the two extra zip pockets they are quite small and hold little. There are some handy pockets and sleeves in the main compartment which helps some in organizing. I wish there was a way to increase the footprint of the bag slightly to fit a 8.5x11 sheet of paper in it without folding it but guess that would defeat the purpose of having a compact bag. Anyway, the magnets hold the tank fine even at high speeds. No problem with tank scratching as long as you use care. If you are looking for a small, compact bag this will do the trick. It'll work It's a simple tank bag. Interior is soft and open without lots of complicated compartments. However, there are 2 problems. 1. The bottom is not soft enough. This is especially true under the magnets. Compared to my Rapid Transit Recon 19, it's like there is no padding under there. Special care to not scratch the paint needs to be taken when installing and removing. 2. The weakest point is the zipper operation. The sides walls are very stiff and create "kinks" where the silver piping meets the zipper track. The zipper will catch when you try to open or close it. This makes for fun times if you're trying to quickly access anything inside while on the road. Like reaching for money at a tollbooth. If this isn't a common occurrence, not a big deal. Overall, it's a serviceable bag. It holds stuff and stays on the tank even with crosswinds at highway speeds. October 29, 2013
Good Idea but... I received my bag and promptly installed and went for a 100 mile ride or so. Took the bag off and later went to clean the bike up and noticed some texture marks on the tank where the magnets were located. I now have four stamps left by the magnets engraving the texture into the paint. To be more specific, there's no scratches or rub marks. The tank was clean before install and the bag was brand new and clean. Other than this disaster, the bag was perfect size and all. October 8, 2013
Perdect fit fot a Tiger 800 The Tiger 800 has a very odd-shaped tank so it was difficult finding a tank bag that would fit properly. This bag does the trick. I went with the magnets for ease of use. Just remember not to keep your wallet with credit cards here. I use it to carry my dslr and other small items, glasses, etc. September 16, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Michael G: Seemed a perfect fit for my mid-sized bike. Has proven to be great, and I love the pocket on top that allows me to run my cellphone as a navigation system under a waterproof cover. Aug 27, 2013
Jason P: small size is perfect for short trips Aug 22, 2013
Jose B asked: is the Cortech 2.0 suitable for a F800GS, if not pls recommend one which does, thank you? Mar 10, 2014

Wilson H: The Cortech 2.0 is set up for a metal tank. The size is small, but very usable. It should work on any bike with a steel tank the magnets will stick to. Mar 21, 2014

Justin F asked: Does this bag have the backpack straps like the 12 liter version? Does it have any form of carrying straps or just the handle? Mar 20, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jeffrey K: No backpack straps, but there is an included shoulder strap that clips into a sturdy/nice plastic ring on the bag's front (and doubles, I think, as a safety strap you can secure around the steering yoke; I've never done this given how solidly the bag's magnets grab the tank). It's not great as a shoulder strap, frankly, but it does work. And the big, fat grab handle is great.

I used this bag on a 5,000+ mile tour of Western US/Canada. It is small, though, and so I've added the 18-Liter version for future long trips. I prefer this bag for day trips. I'll echo the statements made by others about how small the map pocket is -- it's great for displaying directions to a specific location (or a smallish picture of a loved one), but that's about it.

Jose H: It does not have backpack straps. This bag is too small for that, it only has the handles. It does have the loops to attach a strap to it though. Mar 21, 2014

Justin F: Thanks, so some say it comes with shoulder strap and some say it doesn'tt. Appreciate the response, at least with the loops I can snap a $3 guitar strap to it if necessary. Appreciate the response Jose. Mar 21, 2014
Hassan M: Hello, I have not used this bag yet, but it came with a long belt/strap that I am assuming is for carrying off the bike.

Wilson H: It comes with a strap that is usable for a shoulder strap I guess, but it really isn't set up to be used that way. I don't know if you have looked at this bag closely, but it is an 8 liter bag only if it has been stuffed till nothing else fits. It really is very small. It would be about the size of a back pack for a preschooler to take their lunch in and that is about it. It works great for what I needed it for, but if you want a Tank bag/ backpack you might want to look at the larger bags. This will fit a camera (one extra lens), a small grab bag of trailmix, and a small can of liquid refreshment. After that you will be needing more bag. But to answer your question there is a strap that comes with it and also a rain bag that has a clear top and keeps the inside dry. (Ask me about the three days in torrential rain coming back from Oregon) The bag itself is very well made and has a nice soft interior that I like a lot. The magnets on the back hold very well too. Really no complaints other than it is kind of small. Has lots of pockets inside too. Mar 21, 2014

Justin F: Haha, a picture of a loved one.
Thanks for the info! Don't need anything to carry it around all day, just while checking into a hotel or getting off the bike at a food/rest stop. Sounds sufficient enough for the purpose.

Randy S: No, there are no regular backpack straps because the storage case is relatively small. The case includes two (2) detachable straps with plastic luggage connectors. My preference is to use the quick and easy external handle. Mar 21, 2014

Jose H: I honestly don't remember if it came with a strap as I never use those. Mar 21, 2014

GAIL K asked: Will this thing hold a full-sized ipad? Apr 2, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Casey S: It will most likely fit but it will b a tight squeeze...probably not enuf room for much else. I think if that's what you would want to carry I would suggest going with the next bigger tank bag Apr 3, 2014
