Poor Manufacturer Support I bought this for my son's birthday in April - August the strap from the chest protector pulled out. The threads simply pulled out. Screws on the back plate backed out as well. I emailed the manufacturer ( No Phone Number on their Site ). They told me I had to take it back to the dealer. The dealer had to wait for the Cortech Rep - 3 weeks go by and the Rep still hasn't showed up. Dealer keeps contacting Rep with no resolution in site. I emailed the manufacturer several times with a response - we can't provide a refund - you have to work with the dealer. I emailed the manufacturer and asked them to send me out a replacement - and they wouldn't !! Hello !! This is dirt bike riding season !! The Manufacturer does a terrible job supporting the customer and flat out doesn't want to deal with the customer. Don't by this product !! Or anything from this manufacturer - It's clear to me that don't care about the customer. Cortech doesn't care I bought this product expecting similar support as other companies that provide protective equipment. Never in my life have I had to wait months to get a resolution especially from a company that I trusted with my son's well being! Cortech is a hands off company - can't be bothered by the customer - who pays their checks, puts food on their tables, clothes on their families, and gas in the cars and bikes. November 6, 2015
Cortech Jacket Chest guards are very small and looks ridiculous if you wear without kidney protection.Chest guards does not sit properly on chest and have upwards bends at lower end which cause air to get underneath it and cause problem while riding at high speed. Back shield too big and rigid. Collar is very loose. net should have been longer upto waist. November 2, 2015
Recommended... In comparison with other similar products, maybe the only "strange point" in this one is the back protector feels thicker... causes more sweating, but for the same reason, feels more protective. Liked a lot!!! September 24, 2015
Good alternative to a summer riding jacket Great protection for the money, lightweight, comfortable, and it's breathable August 10, 2015
Great under layer! I have had this for under a week, I was surprised how extremly light it is,"I have hoodies that weigh more" even with the back protector on. Mobility is great. The fitment straps are a bit of a pain to get adjusted but once in they stay well.. I would probably not suggest this as a stand alone.. But worn under leather definatly! Even a cheepo leather jacket I couldent imagine the hard parts holding up under a slide being bare and exposed, but worn in conjunction with a leather jacket for the price I would definatly recomend this product. Im a large guy at 6-4 250 lbs and athletic built and the lg/xl fits perfect. The spine protector is articulating but not anything like a mantis.. Again for the price point I am exeptionally happy with this product thus far!! Oh and RevZilla!!! Outstanding shipping ordered on wednesday morning arrived on Friday! I live in 1 of those geographical oddity area's where it takes 2 weeks to get anything from anywhere!! THANK YOU REVZILLA!!! April 6, 2015

A S asked: Can I used this on street? I'm getting a supersport bike and thinking of getting this. Apr 20, 2015

Clifton R: I use mine on the street, Its comfortable enough. Its easy to cover and seems like It is a reasonably durable product. I ride a dual sport but I go hard, I would wear a good leather over but I trust it... I havent tested it in a "go down" situation but I wear it every time I ride.. Apr 20, 2015

stan w: surprising comfortable and flexible. When you hold it in your hand you feel its weight, when you wear it (somehow) the weight goes away.... If I was doing spirited riding on asphalt, I'd want to think carefully about what I would wear as an outer layer that would provide abrasive asphalt protection. And I would want an exacting and flexible fit between the two pieces... Just any XL won't do: it would need to be an integrated cut in the shoulder and forearm areas.... Apr 26, 2015

Matt B asked: 5' 4" at 120 lbs here, wondering first of all if it would be a good fit. I would actually be hoping to wear this under my existing Joe Rocket High-Viz Phoenix Ion jacket so any thoughts there would be appreciated.

Main question I had is if this offered rib protection as well since I can only see front/back views?

I'm also looking at the Forcefield Rib Protector (worn backwards) for chest/rib protection under my jacket which looks slim enough.

A S asked: Looking for something to keep my skin on if I fall at speed........is this thing good for pavement crashes? If not, what would you recommend? Nov 27, 2014

Minsu N: They say that there are two types of CE ratings, one for dirt and one for the street. Not sure what the difference is but maybe the dirt one is more impact protective compared to abrasion protection, this would be logical and make the most sense, but dont quote me on it. Dec 2, 2014
