Continental Conti-Motion Radial Rear Tire
Cant Complain, especially for the price!
So I have only been riding for two years, and these tires are on my 2006 Sv650, and I never even thought about them. . I did burnouts, slid around corners, went to one track day, and a few cornering schools. I also live in the Bay Area, and frequent Hwy 9, very twisty, and a lot of guys are running track tires up there. .
But not me! I honestly should have bought another pair of these tires. . I road them from Santa Clara to Oregon and back, and sure they get a little square, but any tire you ride on the freeway will do that. Also my bike is very torque EE, and I pull hard out of every corner, and every take off. . And still managed to get about 6000 miles out of them. . I didn't see the metal belts, and the only reason I changed tires is because they were starting to get the rubber rolling off of the middle. . And the front tire got a slice in it from an off road adventure I took while in the Mtns. . I pushed these tires very hard, and maybe I shouldn't have, but they worked like a champ! And were super cheap. .
Heres my honest opinion, I think tires are important, but I think ridding is 80 % mental, 10 % skill, and 10 % luck. . .

Good Bang for the Buck
This tire has good grip, for a great price.
Tread life is it's weak point however. Don't expect this tire to last more than 4,000-4,500 miles.
If you are looking for an inexpensive tire to get you back on the road, it is a good choice.

Do NOT Buy Conti-Motion
Worst cold tire traction I've ever experienced. If you ride in a colder climate, you may not be able to get enough heat into the tire to make it stick regardless of how long you try to heat it up. Tread life is awful. This is my second Conti-Motion. The first was replaced by the shop at a reduced cost. Both rear tires only lasted about 2500 miles each before steel belts started to come through. I do not burnout, drift or have sloppy downshifts where the back tire gets dragged. Pressure was always kept at 40 lbs and the wheel itself was balanced and true. The tires were on a 2003 Yamaha FZ1. A call to the ONLY manufacturer rep in the US for Continental two wheeled vehicles is in NJ and nowhere near SLC, UT to inspect the tire. Learn from my mistake. You get what you pay for and this was nothing more than a complete waste of money and time. Do not buy Conti-Motion. RUBBISH!!!

Great tire for the price.
This tire came pre-installed on my cbr1000rr from the PO, so I figured I might as well try it out before replacing it. I was surprised to find that the grip on this "budget" tire was impressive, especially when used on a literbike. I only had 2 instances of losing any traction, and both were a result of too much throttle while leaned fully over. Rode once in the rain, and I probably would not recommend these as all-weather tires. I did 2 track days on these, never had any problems. As long as you let these warm up, they will provide plenty of grip. I got exactly 3700 miles out of these before I hit the wear bars (kinda hard to tell, since there's no tread in the middle). Pretty happy considering I ride very agressively and did 2 full days at the track. Proof is in the pictures (taken after 2nd track day).

Seems good, although I haven't had a chance to put them through much testing (stupid bike is broken down again). I got a little excited going through some twisties and should have died lol but didn't. So there's that to speak for the tires haha.

I run these on a first gen FZ1. I live in the mountains so I have to ride an hour to find a mile of straight level road. These are great for everyday aggressive riding. They are even a little forgiving of low pressure. I get pretty good mileage and the wear bars are easy to read. As long as you ride the conditions you will have to spend a lot more money to get any real improvement for a commuter or touring tire. I am getting more grip and mileage than my last set of metzelers.

Good summer tire
I use my bike year round and find that these tires are good as long as the temperature is above about 50 they tend to loose grip in cooler temps on a damp road.
