When I received this taillight I was not looking forward to installing it because it came with absolutely zero instructions. And exactly what I thought was going to happen happened. Installing the light isnt too bad, just unbolt and unplug the old one and bolt the new one in. Simple enough, but when you get the whole thing installed and turn the blinker on it doesn't blink. Now I have to figure out how to splice in flashers... maybe they should tell you that before they sell it to you. But if you are good with wiring it should be a breeze! I have a 2008 ninja 250 not an R6... not sure why it says that

Awesome but not plug and play

Thought this would be a great change, help to clean up the back, get rid of the turn signals. Looks and works good, only complaint is on installation, the wires are on the wrong side of the clip. Had to cut and splice the clips from the old lights. Otherwise, simple to install, 30-45 min with that.

Jake L:I have a 2008 ninja 250 and mine does not blink. I called competition werkes and they said I would have to provide a resistor. Would have been very nice to know before I bought and installed. Looks great! But I installed it about two weeks ago and haven't figured out the right resistors to buy. Just hoping i dont get pulled over. For the price compared to other taillights, I think it might be worth it to just get it and buy resistors if you feel comfortable doing that. hope this helps.Oct 6, 2015
A shopper asked:My taillight is out but the turn signals work fine. Looks like whoever had the bike before me just bypassed the turn signal part. Is there a place to buy replacement bulbs or do I need to buy the entire unit again? I've only had the bike for 2 months so I have no clue how long ago it was installed.Jul 27, 2014
