This kit retains the rear seat lock. The lock gets relocated under the tail behind the license plate bracket.

Answer:

yes it does. there is no need to change any of the existing parts on your bike. its a simple unbolt of the plate hanger and re-bolt of the new hanger. There's one wire to connect and voila your done.
