Better than I dreamed of!
I bought the Scala Rider Team set this winter so that my wife and I could talk a little during our rides. I quickly fell in love with the FM feature. Riding with music has always made me nervous because cars are bad enough when you can hear them. As the winter rolled on and the weather got warmer I quickly realized that my 3/4 helmet was going to be too warm no matter how much I loved the music. That is when I found this! The sound is AWESOME, it cuts down on wind noise and actually lets you hear MORE of your surroundings. Once you get over the fact that you look like the Cop in the Terminator movies having the boom mic in front of your face, everything gets better. the functionality between that Rider and my iPhone 4S is great. Would I suggest this to a friend, Heck yes. Most of my friends must already think I am getting royalty money. I tell everyone. If you love riding, this is like a back county road on a crisp fall day. It doesn't get any better!

Better than expected
I thought these were a bit over priced (you have to buy 2, one for rider and another for pillion) but they do work well on the half hat.
We used ours today and I did not use the ear cups on mine. I could her fine at 70 mph on a street glide. I just had the velcro on the speakers stuck to the half helmet straps. The BSR had her cold weather curtians on and said hers were great.

Didn't work with my Cardo 9
Didn't work with my Cardo 9 and there wan no information in reference that it doesn't work or not compatible with Cardo 9, now I will have to send it back!!!!

Suprised by Performance
I was pleasantly suprised by the excellent performance of the half helmet audio kit. The speaker ear holders are actually pockets that help to block out some of the wind making it easier to hear. The Microphone does an excellent job of cancelling wind noise even at highway speeds. Highly recommend this kit!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
I purchased this unit because my husband and I own both a full face helmet and a open face helmet and wanted to still be able to communicate without having to change the unit every time we changed helmets. It works great! It was super easy to install, and now all we have to do is just remove the bluetooth unit and slide it on to this unit. It's a must have as far as I'm concerned especially if you travel alot. Awesome product!

Lightweight unit.
Easy to install, lightweight (not bulky). I found it somewhat difficult to use when switching from the 1/2 helmet to full face (I also have Scala Q2 to which it is paired). Aside from that - and it may be operator error - great unit.

While the other 2 answers say no, YES you can use earbuds with this kit. That is why I bought it. I haven't used the kit on the road yet so I can't give a good review. But you can install earbuds in place of the 2 speaker sets provided. It has a 3.5 mm jack. I first saw this kit at the V-Twin Expo last Feb, and I spoke to the Cardo rep. He was the one who sold me on the purchase. It just took awhile before I had the funds.Age: 45-54
