Nicer Than Orignal Headset
I ordered this to put in a second helmet. When I received it I noticed a couple improvement over the original G4 headset. This one allows you to switch between corded mic or a boom style mic. The speakers are a little thicker and the kit comes with a foam spacer to mount under the speakers closer to the ear if needed. This is critical to get good sound and volume. Speaker placement is everything with these headsets. The sound is amazingly good. And as usual Revzilla has rocket fast delivery. Very nice upgrade.

good G9 base microphone
This is the OEM mic device for the Scala G9. It fits well. It works well. And it looks great.

If you own the "4" unit this is an upgrade and is both a boom Mic or a cord Mic. Sound is only a little better then original headset. I use my system in two different helmets and was surmised at the price for this additional unit. Well worth it.

Nice addition to G4 set.
I bought this extra Mic set to add to another helmet so I can quickly move the intercom control to a different helmet. The corded Mic works really well in a full face helmet compared to the boom Mic.

Bought because I have many helmets and just 2 Scala Rider G9. Prefer this new model because we have the option of corded mic or not.
Very good equipment. Necessary if you have just one Scala Rider and many helmets. Works perfectly.

Is the Cardo G9 boom microphone long enough to be mounted behind the sun visor lever on the N104 using the clamp mount? If not, would it work using the adhesive mount somewhere? I assume the boom microphone could be used on the Shoei Neotec with either the clamp or adhesive mount.

The boom microphone length will work fine with the clamp or sticky mount on a Shoei Neotec.We would have to say that the boom microphone is not going to be long enough should you choose to place it behind the internal sun visor lever. You can however use the sticky mount elsewhere on the helmet (mostly commonly used where the N-Com Device would go), which should be fine length wise.

The speakers are a just a bit bigger. They have larger magnets and can produce a bit more sound db's. They also reproduce bass sound better not as tinny as the older G4 speakers. I have this new set and can hear the difference....not earth shattering....just a bit better. Also the mount is not as thick along the bottom as the G4 (looking at it from the side) The unit sits lower and looks less bulky. $60 worth?.....well thats up to the user. I have a friend I recommended them too.....and he's still my friend ;-)Age: 45-54
