Burly Tall Black Sissy Bar & Pad For Harley Sportster
If you have been looking for a sissy bar for your Sportster you already know that there is little to nothing out there that looks cool, is simple to install, and is good quality at a reasonable price. Burly realized this as well and decided to take matters into their own hands. What they came up with was this classic styled, one-piece round-stock sissy bar that mounts to outside of fender rails for simple install and removal. Includes black covered pad already mounted up and ready to go. This beauty is fully TIG welded right here in the good old USA. The Burly Short Sissybar is also available.
22" high by 12.5" wide at the mounts
Includes stainless hardware
Black powder-coat finish
Made in the USA
Note: Sissybars are great for supporting things, but they are not made to fully support someone that you care about.
Burly Tall Black Sissy Bar For Harley Sportster 2004-2014
Good Metal - Bad backrest pad
Now that i have my wife use the backrest its time to write the review after 6 months of the purchase.
Why i got this: the cheapest available, good looking sissy bar out there. Fits perfect with my 2011 Sportster 883 low.
Goods: Sturdy, Tall
Bad: The backrest pad is not good at all.
Fit: Spent a good half hour to install it.
No issues at all. Sturdy enough. Went for the tall one so that for my long rides i can used any backpack and use it with the tall one.

Looks good and does the job
Bought this for my forty eight. I wanted it for both style and function for two up riding. It is nice and clean, much better than the overpriced HD sissy bar. Easy to install and does the job. I always get asked about it, so they did something right.

Quality is amazing
I was debating between this sissy bar and the one that HD sells , but decided to go with this one since the bottom portion that attaches to the bike was slimmer and cleaner than the HD one. Its definitely not a quick release type of sissy bar and is kind of a pain in the butt to install.
Tips: Make sure all bolts are in before tightening. If you insert one bolt at a time and tighten them, you won't be able to align it correctly to get the other bolts in. w

A shopper asked:Help,
I'm about to order this bar or the short one and am having a hard time looking and finding that pad that bolts into the back. The wife is going to need some cushion but I can't find any one anywhere! Does anyone own one? or can give me the product name and maker so I can order it with the short or tall sissy bar?!?
Rahul M:Purchased the tall sissy bar which came with the backrest pad. The pad is not a good quality one though but the sissy bar is extremely strong. my wife is 5'2 and she finds it comfortable enough to lean back. And you can put any other rest pad with it, just make sure that the looks dosent get spoiled. :)
daniel b:The pad comes with the tall sissy bar, Not sure about the small one. I have the tall one for my nightster and the wife loves it. Her only complaint is that she wished the pad was a little lower. Shes 5'4. Its a really nice sissy bar.Oct 23, 2014
Aaron S:The bar is bolted to the fender struts. So it's pretty sturdy if you do the job right. I've had female passengers ranging from 90 to 150 lbs. It's safe. I can practically lift my bike up by the sissy bar. In case your wondering yes I've tried.
The only thing is that the pad might and by might I mean it definitely is uncomfortable. If your buying this for comfort you are buying the wrong product. This has two jobs provide a single piece sissy bar, and look good doing it. This does both well.
You'll be hard pressed to find a sissy bar with these looks at this price and this ease of installation. Sep 23, 2014
Rick S:At first I thought the same thing but once installed very safe. My wife leans back on it the whole time when we ride. Very well built very secure and gives the bike a nice look. The pad is comfortable for the back also, so my wife tells me.Sep 24, 2014
Gregory G:Yes it is screwed on with 2 screws very easy but there is a bracket built in to the sissy bar that goes across the pillar.. I love it, it's installed on a nightster looks great very pleased with it!May 25, 2014
Francisco S asked:I was wondering if it will work fine to put this bar on my 1200 Custom. I have saddlebags that I can definitely unscrew, but would I be able to put the saddlebags over the sissy bar on the fender strut while still being secure enough to hold my saddlebag load?Dec 17, 2014
Jerome B asked:I plan on riding out to Sturgis with my girlfriend on the back next year... I already own the tall Burly sissy bar. I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations to a quality sissy bar bag that will work with this? Preferably a larger capacity bag. ThanksDec 16, 2014
