I tried other tires but they made the bike bounce.
I've tried Metzler Tourance and Heidenau K76 on the Tiger 800 XC and both had a bounce at about 35 mph. I decided to go back to a stock tire the Battle Wing and no longer have the bounce.

Can't complain 7k miles
Great 90/10 tire. the 502 are stock on a 2014 Yamaha super Tenere. I rode them 60% highway, 30% twisties, and 10% forest roads. Great road tire, no problems in the rain and great in the curves. Tire is fine for forest roads even when they get rough, but I wouldn't venture and crazier than washboard gravel. I got 6850 miles out of my rear tire (Pictures) I could push it to 7000 but its already pretty bad. I weigh 185lbs and there was only gear on the bike for about 1000 miles. If that helps with guessing how long the tire will last for you. P.S. I ride aggressively 50% of the time

Does what it says and well at that.
95% on 5% off road, it's what this tire does well. I have approximately 8000 miles on my set and I have yet to hit the wear bars which is not bad, I have noticed some cupping on the front but it hasn't detracted from the ride or handling of the tires as of yet. The Battle Wing does well on the pavement both dry and wet, it surprised me how well it did in a torrential white out downpour that I should not have been riding in, at least an inch of water everywhere on the road and I passed through several areas 6-8 inches in depth with no surprises or slippage. Packed gravel and dirt roads haven't been an issue either, however watch out for mud with these. The tread packs quickly and soon you're on slicks with no traction at all. I'll probably pick another set of these up.

Great tire!
I started with the front and just recently got the rear. Good traction both dry and wet. I have not had off road yet so can't comment. Smooth comfortable ride and works well in the twisties

Great tires for the money
These were the OE tires on my 2013 S10 and they have been good consistent tires. Good dry and wet traction and I get from 8000 to 9000 miles on the rear. I don't do dirt so cannot comment on off road capability. This is my third set so I do recommend this product.

Excellent tires
I've had a few sets of Battle Wings and find them perfect for my riding type which is mostly commuting with some jeap trail riding over the Blue Mountain area. They last forever, are great in the rain. Highly recommended.

I have been pretty happy with them. The one thing I learned is to order "e" code as they have a few 32nds more tread than than my oem "j" tires, which has resulted in a few thousand extra miles per tire

oem tire... has worked well in the past

They're an upgrade over the OEM Trail Wings on my V-Strom 650. The rear of those lasted for 14k miles so I'm sticking with the Bridgestone brand. Also, they're at a great sale price now (April 2016).
