good sport tour tire ive put over 2k on the front tire. started out end of summer/ rainy fall and now its cold (40 ish mornings, so far) i commute to work and it has felt fine in all conditions. November 2, 2014
Nice Tires I tried to wait for a few more miles before reviewing, but cold weather has set in here and I won't be pushing these hard on cold pavement. They do feel great inside the first 1,000 miles, but most do. I'll try to update when the weather breaks. November 23, 2013
So far so good The BTX-023 GT have been great. So far like them better then the Michellin RP3's,and I got 10,000 + miles on them. I hope to get as much or more on these. time will tell. BTX are rounder tires. I thought PR3 were a little square. I can lean my FJR over a lot further with BTX. Very grippy on dry roads. Havn't had them in the rain yet. Overall very pleased so far October 30, 2013
Good Price- Great Tire Last similar tire got exceptional High mileage. Great in wet and curves. Bridgestone has done their work here. October 28, 2013
Great tire for the price A good all around sport touring tire at a good price, that's value! August 24, 2013
Not a bad tire With only a few tire choices for the BMW K1600 GTL, I thought I'd give these a try. I have 4000 miles on these tires, commuting 74 miles a day, figured it's time to give you my opinion. Dry grip is very good even at full lean on a heavy bike. Wet grip isn't to bad. The front tire gives you really good feel. In rain mode and TC on, I had the rear kick out a little on some turns. Now I'm a little leery on too much lean on wet roads. There very stable at hwy speeds even in torrential rain. As far as tire life is concerned, these are showing relatively little wear for the amount of miles, considering this bike eats tires for lunch. The rear starting to flat spot and the front is showing the notorious ridge down the center. I should get another 4k out of these, I would most likely by again. See the attached photos, 4000 miles on the Bridgestone BT 023 GT. August 18, 2013
excellent upgrade over bias ply I am running this on an ST1100. I have 800 miles on the tire as i write this. So far this has been an improvement over the G547 that was on the front. My commute is over a hundred miles a day, containing sand and loose gravel in random areas that change daily. An open grate bridge is also part of my daily journey. The 023gt is more planted and wanders far less than the old tire. Though I have given it 4 stars, longevity may alter my review one way or the other. So far I am very pleased. June 17, 2013
Works well on smaller bikes too Replaced the worn bt 020 on my Kawasaki ninja 650r with this. The linear stability greatly increased, as did it's predictability in turns. It's smooth at speed and the shop didn't even need to add weight to balance it. I also hope to get a longer life out of this heavier duty tire on my lighter bike. April 29, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Joseph S: Bridgestone quality and I needed to match it to my rear tires.
I need two fronts for every one rear on my FJR.

M I: I bought several of these GT tires. On my heavy Concours 14 and with my aggressive twisties riding preference they never gave me a 'wooo' moment. I think they are excellent street tires and I great value for the buck. I put more than 9K miles on one such front GT. I'm sticking to Battlax GTs. If it works, don't fix it! Jul 18, 2014
fred f: I've gotten more good miles out of this tire than any other. Jul 15, 2014
Todd F: wanted some thing different
had good reviews

sammidi a: its the best tyre and bridgestone is better for Indian roads as well Dec 6, 2013
Huey W: A friend of mine recommended this tire. Sep 28, 2013
stephanie m: After reading everyone's reviews I wanted to try these to make sure I had great tires with good traction and life. These tires have not let me down yet. Very happy with my choice. Sep 11, 2013
David C: Great ratings on ST Owners forum Aug 17, 2013
David D asked: Do these titres have a metal valve stem that make them compatible with the Garmin Tire pressure monitor system for the Zumo 590? I understand the tire pressure valve stem caps need to be used on metal stems only as a rubber stem could break. Jan 13, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Ronald B: The valve stem is separate from the tire. This tire is "compatible" with any pressure monitor, but if you need a metal valve stem, it is a separate part. Depending on your motorcycle, purchase the correct metal stem. I would see a dealer, tech or forum familiar with your make and model who can suggest the proper stem. Jan 13, 2015

Brett L: Tires do no include stems. You would need to order a stem separately and install it into your rim (generally a good idea to replace stems with each tire change).

Since the tires are tubeless, they can certainly support a metal stem once installed.

Todd L: Dave:

Think it through. You already know the answer.

A tire has no valve stem.

A valve stem is either part of a tube for a tube tire installation and the valve is installed on a wheel rim for a tubeless tire installqation.

Gary P: The valve stem is attached to the wheel rim not the tire.
If you need a metal valve stem it is a separate item that would be mounted to the rim. I think these tires would work with any compatible rim regardless of the valve stem that you need to use.

Gary T: David,
These are tubeless tires, the valve stems are on your wheels. You will need to look at your bike and see if you have rubber or metal valve stems.

jason j: I don't believe valve stems come with any tires. If you already have the metal valve stems on your wheels you may be able to reuse them. Jan 13, 2015
