Biltwell Renegade 1" Grips

Biltwell took a Recoil Grip, mixed it with a Kung Fu grip, and then offered the product of the two in a bunch of new colors. OK, they didn't do exactly that, but it sort of looks like they did. These grips feature their usual super-sticky Kraton rubber, so you know they'll feel every bit as good as all their other grips!

Features:

  • 4 7/8" long x 2 1/2" large end diameter x 1 3/8" small end diameter
  • Soft rubber construction
  • Sold as a pair

Grip on the situatuion
I put these on a 2014 Triumph Street Triple because the original equipment was too small, hard, and offered minimal vibration dampening. Hand cramping particularly in the throttle hand did not take long to start. These grips really address the issue very efficiently. They are larger in diameter so your hands don't wrap all the way around the grip. They are softer but not too soft and the contoured shape feels more natural. They are cheap enough that if you don't like them it,s not a big deal.

Plenty of grip
Plenty of grip with or without gloves. Once installed they were rock solid. The styling is a nice throwback as well. I bought two sets so far. Would buy them again if I ever needed to.

Super comfortable
Cheap, comfortable! Their concave shape acts as a shock absorbing mechanism. Biltwell lives up to their name.

Great grips especially for the price
Great grips especially for the money. Can't beat the price. They have a little more squish than stock, but have a lot more grip. More comfortable on rides for sure.

Needed a sleeve for the throttle, but other than that good to go.

These look & feel great on my 2008 Harley Nightster XL1200N. The slightly rounded grip is great. Easy to install, would by again in a heartbeat.

I have stock grips, do these go on top of them or do I need to take stock grips off and put these on?
Nitin s on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You will need to remove the old grips to install the new one. I poured some alcohol at the top of the old grip for lubricant.(don't worry, it evaporates) Then I took a small flat head screwdriver and slid it between the bar and the old grip and work the grip loose. If you do not want to save t he old grips, simply cut them off instead.
