Poor fit...but what a looker!
This is a tough one to rate. The look is top notch. The fitment was terrible. It appears that the installation should be a no brainer (and really, it is) but this shield refuses to fit as perfectly as the clear that came with the helmet. Very stiff to close and doesn't seem to seal completely. It's difficult to say if this problem is inherent in all Bell shields, or just poor QC on this visor.
Oh, and the dark smoke is dark from the front but I have zero problems seeing through it, even as the sun sets. To be fair, while I've yet to try it at night, I doubt it would work well.

Bought for Vortex Patriot
When I got the visor, I was excited to fit it on right away...only to be disappointed it didn't even clip in.
I thought I bought the wrong visor but after seeing other reviws about fitmet problems I stretched the visor open a bit (don't break it) and managed to get it to clip in.
Trying to close the visor was another issue as it doesnt close no where near as freely as the clear visor on my Vortex Patriot.
Just force it closed carefully and leave it overnight. After continuous use it will free up a bit.
I ended up switching it back to the clear visor.

Good visor
The dark smoke visor is good for the day, it really blocks the sun and the heat. But would recommend a light smoke or clear for night time riding because the dark one hinders visibility.

Snap it in and enjoy
I bought this shield for my RS-1. It installs easily in about 10 seconds and comes off even quicker. You get the same field of view and protection with a darker lens for daytime riding. It is quite dark, so be careful if you will be riding past sunset. Overall it looks great and is much more comfortable than wearing sunglasses for a ride.

Nice Dark Shield!
this is a good shield at a modest price... i was a bit concerned with getting the dark smoke in fear that it would be too dark, but its actually about as dark as i thought the light smoke would be, so i can see why people would say the light smoke is too light =/

Fit or mold was way off
It gets hung up on the helmet brow and rubs.You need to use two hands when you open or close it due to the fit.
