Bell RS-1 superb
Bell RS-1 helmet is absolutely great helmet.I did my research and checked helmet by person on Revzilla showroom in Philly. They run a bit small comparing other brands but thats only my head shape. It has great aerodynamic with plenty of air vents for hot summer. I can proudly say that it is THE quietest helmet I've worn since noise level is key element on my helmet selection. Ive tried many helmets at the showroom as far as weight, shape, graphics and price but Bell was the winner.Helmet has bunch of features like 3 adjustable vents, magnetic strap restraint, great selection of visors and is very stable (even doing 90mph traffic check)and price is not jacked up like japanese ARAI , SHOEI or german SCHUBERT:(
Shape is outstanding with fine padding and comfortable lining.
Bell has won again and done fine job with their RS-1.I got mine in hi-viz graphics so i can be seen on miles away :-)
I definitely recommend this helmet to anyone looking for great helmet for reasonable price. You won't regret it !!!!

Great helmet.
I've done about a month with this helmet and have to say this is a very good helmet. Revzilla review is spot on. The fit is a little bit more narrow than I would like, but I can still wear it with out any difficulty. The check pads also have great speaker pouches for a comm system. I have the Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromic Face Shield and couldn't be happier. Air flow is great and I like the defogging detent, nice for low speeds. Fogging has not been an issue. I had fog one during rain on a cold day when I was trying to yell to a friend.

Great helmet
I like this helmet because of the fit, features, design, weight and field of view. When I put on the helmet I knew right away how well it fit. I have a oval to round type head. I love the fit and finish of the helmet. I also love how quiet it is. I ride a sport bike so my head is out in the wind. Had an Icon SSR and this is 10 times better all around. Great purchase. Will buy again.

Fantastic product!
Helmet offers sensational airflow and ventilation in either upright or tuck positions. Pin lock on the side has a open just a crack setting which I find I use often at traffic lights or low speeds which means I don't need to open the actual visor. Main reason for buying was for the photochromic (changes from clear to dark pending on light) visor available, which I must say is very much worth every dollar. Great overall product.

Not perfect, but very good
I have ridden several thousands of miles in this helmet. Although I own several different helmets from various manufactures, the Bell RS-1 is my typical "go to" helmet when selecting "which helmet I will ride with today". I am very pleased with the photocromatic face shield (sold separately). This helmet is relatively quiet, comfortable, fits true to size and is Snell 2010 cert. Flows a good amount of air. The upper "cheap" plastic air-vent cover does vibrate and gives off noise when in the closed position. Not sure if that's just mine or others suffer from the same problem. All in all, I am pleased with the helmet. Not perfect, but very good.

Pricy, but a worthy upgrade to an old Airframe
This helmet recently replaced my Icon Airframe of about four years. There are several differences that I noticed right off the bat, notably how quiet this helmet really is.
Under 85 mph this helmet is almost too quiet. Earplugs are still needed when riding on the highway though.
The helmet fits incredibly tight when new. I thought the head shape might be wrong after wearing it for about a week but it seems to be breaking in a bit. I'll have to update this when I've got more miles with it.
Aerodynamically the helmet is superb. Head checks are much smoother than with the Airframe. The venting seems to be good, almost too good. My contacts have actually dried up within about 20 minutes on the freeway; closing the brow vent helped to combat this.
Like the hi-viz more than I thought I would. Have received lots of compliments on the scheme. It's very visible but also maintains that edgy, sportbike look.
Only complaint thus far is the shield doesn't seal at the bottom, it seems. Saw that someone mentioned adjusting the shield so I'll have to look into this.
