Great Helmet with a few flaws. The Revolver Evo Templar fits great but it leans towards a more rounded head. If I wear the helmet for long periods I get a couple of spots on the front and back of my head that hurt. The wind noise is no more than any other helmet in this price range. It is well worth the money if you are looking for a modular helmet. Overall a great helmet for the price. July 28, 2014
Pros & Cons... This helmet looks great and has all the features. My only complaints: it fits SLIGHTLY small but still fits, the field of view is wide but short in my opinion, and the hard foam shell forms a nasty pressure point across my forehead. I have slowly been fixing it by compressing the foam with my thumb and it is getting better. Otherwise everything else functions as it should and looks great. July 28, 2014
This value is tough to beat The Bell Revolver EVO Templar is a great helmet. I simply cannot spend 4-5-6-7 etc. hundred dollars on a helmet so value is important. My baseball cap is 7 3/8 inches and the Large Revolver is dead on. Internal sun visor is a little meh since it is a bit light though one could wear sunglasses as well (I do). Sound is a tad loud though I'm in the habit of wearing plugs to preserve long term hearing anyhow. Can't beat the features for a modular helmet for the price and the build has been solid. Shipped well from Revzilla - thanks July 15, 2014
The price is reasonable and the design is great I love the drop down sunglasses. Its very comfortable and the visibility is almost top notch. Its my first and only helmet so I have nothing to compare it to, but I like it a lot. Only downside is it feels and looks a bit bulky, but I guess that's to protect my brain. August 25, 2014
A good choice in helmets. As a new rider I was faced with the task of choosing my first helmet and found out there are so many types and price points that I had to rethink my approach. I chose to look at safety first, then I looked at my budget. I also wanted a more versatile helmet so that got me into the modulars and from there it was a matter of reading reviews. The Bell seemed to check all the boxes for me so I went for it and I am very pleased with my choice. The revolver evo is packed with features and is very comfortable. At first I thought it was too snug but after wearing it for a month it is perfect. A couple of suggestions for improvements, I wear glasses so I wish there was a section in the check pads that accommodated the glasses. Also a breath guard would have been nice. The first time I rode when it was chilly out the outer shield fogged badly starting from the nose area. August 25, 2014
Great features, but runs small if you have glasses This is great helmet for the price, and the modular capabilities are amazing. To have a full face helmet and then being able to lift is very convenient. Only drawback is those with glasses will have occasionally be uncomfortable, because it feels small with the glasses as others have mentioned. August 18, 2014
Protection Only This helmet feels like it has very high protection as far as the padding on the interior and the shell on the exterior. However it does have its down sides the sun shade is spring loaded so if you need to put it up it pops up quickly thus on the left side of the helmet (if you are wearing it) the sun shade pops out of its anchor, I tested this right as I got it out of the box. As far as the fit goes when you are wearing it, it feels pretty snug and quite protective but what I have come to find out is I can't chew gum which is a minor issue or I start to bite the sides of my mouth which I would say I have an Intermediate Oval shape. Overall this helmet as far as I'm concerned it worth it I like modular helmets so for just the flip up in the front and the sense of safety I think it is worth the amount you pay for. August 18, 2014
Bell Revolver EVO XL Helmet I really love the modular design. I also think the inner sunshield is great. I replaced mine with the dark smoke, much better IMO. Very comfortable and does not get blown around. Very stable. The only thing I have to deal with is the wind noise. I use ear plugs. This is my first modular so not sure if this is the norm. All in all I'm very happy! August 18, 2014

A shopper asked: If you are wearing sunglasses, can you still lower the internal sun-shade w/o hitting the sunglasses? Sep 27, 2013

Peter F: I wear glasses and have no problem with the internal sunshade. I buy the modulars because of the glasses. The only thing that bugs me a bit is when I raise or lower the entire front piece to wear or remove the helmet the under chin curtain rubs my face. But if I flatten it with my thumb it's ok. I do like it. Sep 27, 2013

Juan L: Yes you can still wear glasses underneath the helmet and lower the internal visor without any obstructions. One thing to note is that the helmet is tight regarding its size so if you have a round built face then you need a bigger helmet than what you would normally wear. I can still manage to insert my sunshades after I have the helmet on my head but there is a bit of a struggle. I normally wear a medium size helmet, but I should have bought a large and the fit would have been perfect. Sep 27, 2013

Shawn S: You might be able to lower the internal sun-shade while wearing sunglasses. I have not tried to wear sunglasses with this helmet.
Living in Arizona where there is a lot of sun - most of the time the built-in sun-shade works good enough on its own.

Joshua C: I doubt it, I couldn't possibly wear my Oakley Radarlocks and put down the internal visor as it sits so close to your face. I did add the Transistions shield and it helped a lot. Sep 27, 2013

A shopper asked: My head size is exactly 56 centimeters and my face is oval. Would you recommend buying the SM size helmet (As the Medium is out of stock)? Aug 28, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brittany O: I'm not sure what the size chart says, but I would go with whatever the chart says. The sizes match up pretty perfect, otherwise you might end up with a helmet that doesn't fit. Aug 28, 2014
