Great Helmet For the Price I bought this one on close-out for about $70, and for the price it's a great value. It's a tad bit heavier than more expensive full-face helmets, and I don't know if I'd recommend it for a long ride, but for commuting around town, and rides that last less than an hour or two, I think this is a great option. Outstanding Value Got this helmet on sale, but it would be a great value at retail price. Fit great on the wife, a little snug like it's supposed to. The venting system works great, especially compared to my old AFX. Her face shield hasn't fogged up once yet, even in colder weather. Overall we're very happy with it. Plus she loves the pink design. Great value, good product. This helmet is good quality, no high end feel. But great for my wife who only rides with me occasionally. January 20, 2014
Great brain bucket!! Bought this as a gift for my son and really took a chance on it when I purchased. My son has dredlocks and a cochlear implant which makes sizing difficult when it comes to helmets. Initially it didn't look like this one was going to work when he tried it on. However, after the first ride and the padding adjusting to his head, it became much more comfortable for him. The full face protection is appreciated and the matte black finish matches his Yamaha cafe racer splendidly. Would easily recommend this helmet to others! December 30, 2013
Great Helmet I love this helmet and dont have any real complaints. I have worn it in both warm and cold weather and its comfortable in both, plus very comfortble padding. It does tend to fog up aty a standstill with the visor all the way down, but goes away once you start moving. It comes with a clearscreen instead of tyhe pictured smoke screen. Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because the screen it comes with isn't the best for night riding, light to to give a weird glare on the screen. But for this price point I think it would hard to find something better December 23, 2013
Pretty great. Can't be beat for the price. Leave it to Bell to make a great product at the bottom of the price range. December 3, 2013
Great Buy Purchased this for my 10 year old son. I was drawn to this helmet because of the graphics for my son, but wow looks 10x better in person. Fit is great, I used the sizing guide provided by revzilla. Vents are easy to operate and provide good air flow. He says he doesn't get much whistling noises. Value for the money is outstanding. Too Bad it was on closeout I might have purchased me one too. December 30, 2013
Easy The product arrived on time and the fit was excellent. November 4, 2013

Jonathan H: First Helmet. Got it before I learned how to ride. Looking back I'd invest in a helmet with Pinlock. Apr 11, 2014
LENIN MIGUEL O: It´s a very nice model and bell helmets are dependable Jan 13, 2014
CARLOS Z: The helmet is not heavy but its not light either, so no complaints there. Im still breaking it in, so it fits a bit more snug than i prefer, but im happy with it because it doesnt fog up when i breathe when the face shield in in full close mode. I have a comfort problem, and the previous helmets ive tried on were not up to par with this one. Overall very satisfied with this purchase, i feel comfortable and most importantly i feel safe riding when i have this baby on. Jan 12, 2014

A S asked: I'm at one click of buying the Bell Arrow and find this very usefull reviews. But I'm confused, because my head size is in the middle, between Small and Medium (56,5 cm). So I don't know what size to buy! Maybe somebody was in the same situation? Thanks! Dec 4, 2013

David D: Things to consider padding will get broken in and thus a Med could become to loose for you or a S might be too tight even after the padding breaks in.

My head is about 56 cm and I got a Med Bell Star different from this one (after 2 years it fits nicely) Mine is tight but not so tight it hurts... I simply put it on and fell asleep with it on... haha...

Sorry for being vague... you just gotta try it on to know for sure.

At this stage, you could go to a local shop to try on a S and Med. Then come back and order it here at Rzilla and note they do have an excellent return/exchange policy if you get the wrong size.

Keith S: Just a thought, but given the fit of the Arrow on me, I would probably order the smaller, keeping in mind that Revzilla has a pain free return policy. I have had need to return a helmet that I ordered for my wife and the process was very easy, so if the new Arrow is too small, you can send it back pretty easy. Dec 9, 2013

jill e: I bought this helmet as a passenger helmet so I'm not positive, but i would say go small. I was between sizes in the Rs1 and the Star. I ordered the smaller size and both fit perfect. If it doesn't fit Revzilla makes returning and exchanging super easy so if its to small it won't be a big deal at all. Dec 9, 2013

A shopper asked: Where can I purchase the tinted shield as shown with this helmet? Aug 31, 2011
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
machwon: If you're referring to that exact type of shield, I've never actually seen one for sale that has that matte black look - I think that's only for pictures. RevZilla sells a 'dark smoke' sheild that's probably close. See the related link.

I've used dark smoke ones before - they look cool and you can't generally see into the helmet from the outside, which I like. Just be aware that you can't ride with them at night - they're too dark, illegal in some jurisdictions. You'll need to ride with it open with glasses or carry a clear shield for night time. If you want a one-solution shield, check out the SolFX Photochromic shield.

Alden S asked: is that chin strap suppose to go through the ear pieces on both side or inbetween the liner and helmet? Sep 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Quoc P: Generally there should be a slit where the straps go through usually under the ear area, but that's just general. Wish I could help more. Sep 28, 2013

Andrew S: I believe through the ear piece, it allows for a lot tighter fit. Sep 28, 2013

A shopper asked: Does the black helmet have a clear gloss over it. Feb 14, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Chris K: There are two types of black for this helmet. Choosing black will get you a glossy clear coat. Choosing matte black will give you a flat finish. Mar 30, 2012

A shopper asked: Does the matte black helmet comes up with a black visor like in the photos or it has a normal visor? Apr 1, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
machwon: I believe all the Monaco helmets come with the SolFX shield, which darkens in the sunlight. In my totally unscientific tests it gets pretty dark when viewed from the outside (on a sunny day). At night or on cloudy days it'll be clear or mostly clear. Apr 1, 2013
