Bel Ray Blue Tac Chain Lube

Bel Ray Blue Tac Chain Lube is the ultimate chain lubricant for all street, off-road and racing motorcycles with ‘O’, ‘X’ and 'Z' ring chains. It was iniquely designed to resist fling-off even in high speed applications while providing outstanding chain and sprocket life by reducing wear. Blue-Tac contains anti-rust agents to protect chains even in wet conditions.

Features:

  • Protects against shock loading and severe wear caused by metal-to-metal contact
  • Full chain coverage is achieved easily to form a protective coating that is waterproof and will not wash out
  • Sprays on thin allowing penetration between side plates

Good wet weather & off-road lube This stuff becomes tacky within less than a minute of application, highly recommend you wait at least 5 minutes after application before you ride again but if you insist on it this stuff is tacky enough to just spray and scoot. It will fling/flake off slightly more aggressively if you don't give it time to set. Once this stuff sets, there is NO fling! It is very messy to apply and hard to control the volume, directionality of spray. I recommend doing this over a tarp so you dont get your work area dirty. Wipe off the bike immediately after application or that too will become tacky enough to require a degreaser agent to remove. I used this for several thousand miles of regular road conditions, it does not collect dirt very much unlike a traditional chain grease but if you go long periods of time between cleanings it will eventually start collecting some grit, this is inevitable. Good product but messy It goes on light and clear and doesn't seem to fling off much at all but if you overspray don't attempt to wipe with a rag or it'll come off like a spiderweb and just float to whatever is nearest it can latch on to. Once you get the hang of it, it really does a great job. June 24, 2015
Seems to be a good easy to apply lube I recently started using this lube and it seems very good. Time will tell. What I like about it is that it goes on with very little overspray due to its high viscosity. Also the residue let's you see exactly where you've lubed, where you've missed and when it's dissipated. It makes the task of lubing quick and painless. This increases the odds that I'll lube more often. I like it. February 3, 2015
Awesome Product Product is easy to apply and works great. Currently use on an O-ring chain. Seems to stick well to chain without collecting much grit/debris from the road. Definitely recommend. October 8, 2014
the only chain lube i use This stuff sticks great and dosent seem like you are spending money to fling oil off your chain. When applying i press the nozzle/valve down slightly and only tacky foam comes from the straw so less mess, less masking, less waste. If you buy this you wont be sorry. Happy riding! Best lube ever I tried so many different brands ... I found this one the best of all. The grease actually stays on the chains ! And doesn't leak on the ground like most others. You can see the white deposit after you applied it, as if you just got your bike from the dealer. December 2, 2013
Top Notch Used Bel Ray on the baja car in college and now on my bike. Easy to go on, doesn't cause a huge mess, and works like a charm! May 27, 2013

A shopper asked: Hi, I ride a KTM Duke 390, was looking out for a chain lube which actually lasts for more than 500 kms. Came across this product. The reason I ask is because I do alot of day trips ranging from 400 kms to 1000 kms and find it a pain to actually keep lubing the chain as i go.
Currently using the Motul Chain Lube road, I find that in wet weather conditions the lube wares off in less than 300 kms. Now imagine if I were doing a 1000 kms day trip! :D
So is this chain compatible with an o ring and how long do you think I should expect this to last?

Richard O: I use this lube on my 2013 Honda CB1100; relube every 600 miles and have no problems...doesn't fling off and seems to keep the chain very well lubricated. It's fine with o-rings...got great reviews on line...that's why I bought it. Aug 23, 2014
