I have owned Battery Tenders for several years. The Junior work just like the bigger models. Very light weight, nice long connection to the motorcycle. The light lets you know if you are connected properly and charging status. Excellent product at a reasonable price.

A L: "I just don't have the power." I bought this battery tender to keep me up and running after sitting in the garage over winter. Bonus: It comes with an adapter for regular red(+)/black(-) alligator clips. This device will work for my cars too. = D MULTI-PURPOSE.Jul 25, 2014
timothy p: I'm not sure why I was directed to this model as a California resident, but figured rather safe than sorry.May 15, 2014
Allen C: Needed a new battery tender for my new bike. Since I am a California residence, I got this one.May 10, 2014
A shopper asked:What does the 80 hour safety timer do ? From what I can tell this is the only difference between this model and the regular battery tender junior but you pay more to get it -Nov 15, 2014
Fernando P:Simply put. Safety feature. Do you need it ? probably Not. But if you live in California , It's mandated . We here in CA apparently need all the help we can get. Don't live in CA . Buy the reg and save some $$ . I do recommend the Junior HD , works great, simple and efficientNov 17, 2014
Gary P:The safety timer prevents marginal batteries from overheating if after 80 hours they have still not reached a full charge. Any good battery should reach full capacity and stop drawing any more power long before the 80 hour timer. Nov 15, 2014
A shopper asked:Anyone used this on an R12GSA or similar bike? The manual says battery must be removed for charging. Is it really necessary to do that? I found it was not, with my Honda Shadow.May 26, 2014
Mark S:I have an R1200GS, and the battery was prewired in place with a pigtail for a battery tender. I have been using the JR HE without any issues. Perhaps it is because the charging rate of the JR at 750mamps is well below the maximum of 2amps for the gel-type battery in the GS.May 27, 2014
