Great little package
I'd been looking for a battery tender and decided to go with this one due to the amount of good reviews. Don't have anything to compare it to but I was not disappointed, it's fairly compact, has an LED with blinking modes to indicate status of the battery and comes with alligator clips and a quick disconnect plug (I use the alligator clips on a couple project bikes since they're easy to swap and the quick disconnect on my commuter). No issues, seems to be working great, the power cord is also a decent length.

Very good product
Good way to protect your battery long term. A small easy to use charger. Just plug into an outlet and connect to the bike. The battery tender does the rest by automatically switching between charging and monitoring modes. And it comes with everything you'll need including aligator clips to use on multiple batteries or an SAE connector to leave attached to the battery itself. The SAE connector also makes it easy to connect your electrical devices (cell phones, GPS, etc.).

Works great
I have owned Battery Tenders for several years. The Junior work just like the bigger models. Very light weight, nice long connection to the motorcycle. The light lets you know if you are connected properly and charging status. Excellent product at a reasonable price.

I own a BMW K1200RS and it is prewired with a pigtail for a battery tender. The JR HE works without any issues so far.

Works great
Just bought a new bike two months ago and had to keep in my trailer because of the cold and salt. Went to turn it over and like normal, nothing. Used the plug in and in a couple of hours was listening to the sweat music of 1700cc. Best thing I bought for my bike this year.

Dead Simple
Connect positive to positive, negative to negative and it will either work or it won't. This thing is foolproof. You'll probably have a harder time locating your battery and figuring out if it's 6V or 12V.

Simple, small, and effective
The Junior HE came with several different leads making it flexible to use in various configurations. I installed the SAE connector directly to the battery. I use that lead to power Battery Tenders USB charging port, which charges my phone and Scala communicators when I'm on the road. Simple installation and I get to use it for multiple purposes.

The charging unit itself is also small and hangs right off the AC outlet. No unit taking up space on the bench. It has a series of LED's that indicate battery status - very intuitive status readout.

And the unit was inexpensive.

So overall - yes - I'd recommend the Junior HE to anyone needing a battery tender

Ebo on Mar 16, 2016
This charger is the perfect storage float charger, it has a long cable from the wall plug to easily reach your ride, and the standard SAE plug makes this a snap to unplug to go riding on those dry winter days. A reliable cost effective device that takes up little space when not needed.

"I just don't have the power." I bought this battery tender to keep me up and running after sitting in the garage over winter. Bonus: It comes with an adapter for regular red(+)/black(-) alligator clips. This device will work for my cars too. = D MULTI-PURPOSE.

what is the difference between "Battery Tender Junior HE" and "Battery Tender Junior" ?

Will this charger work for a Harley Davidson FLHR Road King?
Leonardo M on Oct 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If you have a 12v system the tender will work.
I have a V Strom. Do I need the 6v or the 12?
A shopper on Sep 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I believe your bike is a 12v. It's a pretty common, and dare I say, standard voltage for bike batteries.
What does the 80 hour safety timer do ? From what I can tell this is the only difference between this model and the regular battery tender junior but you pay more to get it -
A shopper on Nov 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Simply put. Safety feature. Do you need it ? probably Not. But if you live in California , It's mandated . We here in CA apparently need all the help we can get. Don't live in CA . Buy the reg and save some $$ . I do recommend the Junior HD , works great, simple and efficient
Do you have a 220V input VAC?

I have Garbing heated liners coming off of my battery. Would I be able to buy the adapter cord with SAE hookup on end to connect this?
A shopper on Oct 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, try Revzilla part number 784457 - that converts powerlet to sae.
Hello,
What do I need to have the charger, harness for the bike that has the feature for usb charging and any mounting equipment needed for a gsxr 600 2005?

Thank you,
Jose
Jose G on Jun 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The package come with the harness you need to hook it up. The only thing you need is a sae to USB attachment
Anyone used this on an R12GSA or similar bike? The manual says battery must be removed for charging. Is it really necessary to do that? I found it was not, with my Honda Shadow.
A shopper on May 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have an R1200GS, and the battery was prewired in place with a pigtail for a battery tender. I have been using the JR HE without any issues. Perhaps it is because the charging rate of the JR at 750mamps is well below the maximum of 2amps for the gel-type battery in the GS.
I have the Garbing heated liners with their quick hook up running off of my battery. Is it possible to buy an adapter cord and hook this battery tender up to it? Thanks!
