Barkbusters VPS (Variable Protection System) Handguards are versatile full-wrap handguards that blend tough obstacle protection with moderate weather coverage. Specifically designed for bikes with long brake and clutch levers, including most street and adventure-touring bikes, the VPS guards feature an adjustable height wind deflector.

Great replacement for the stock handguards
I put these on a 2012 Triumph Tiger 800XC, they are a significant improvement over the stock plastic guards. I would prefer a bit more stiffness from the plastic, but that is the replaceable bit so I am not too worried. Install was simple, the worst part was adjusting my from brake line off the master cylinder.

Not as good as the BB Storm, but still nice
Bought these to replace the plastic handguards on my Triumph Tiger XC. I've owned BB's products before and have always been impressed with their fit and finish. These were equally as good, although after using them for several months I wish I had gone with the larger storm model. These provide little wind protection and are very narrow (up to down). However, they were a much easier installation than I remember on other bikes, just screw in, no messing with weights or anything.

Fitment was good, looks are great, function is perfect! No more worries over snapped levers when my Tiger decides to take a nap! Wind block is as good as stock hand guards.

A Good Buy
I bought these Barkbusters for my husband as a Christmas gift. They installed easy, they look great and he really likes them. I would definitely recommend these to other people considering purchasing them for their Triumph Tiger.

These are easy to install. Although, the adapters for 800XC vice 1200 did not necessarily match up with the instructions. I used the longer U-clamp adapters and longer handle bar ends on my Tiger 800XC. They are easily adjustable once installed.

Christopher S:I don't know for sure, but I would suspect they do NOT work with RnG bar ends (or any others). The barkbusters wrap all the way around the end of the handlebar, and there's a tapered bolt that is designed to sit flush on the handguard and go into the handlebar. Another way to look at it is that you can't run a regular Kaoko or Throttlemeister bar-end manual cruise control (though I believe Kaoko makes a version that will work with the Barkbusters. Hope that helps!Aug 18, 2014
Susan M:sorry but I do not know if they will work with bar ends, I did not install any bar ends and don't think there is a need for them. There has not been any noticeable increase in vibration at the bars at all, and as far as protection goes the handguard will do just fine in my opinion.Aug 18, 2014
