Maximum wind and rain protection for street and adventure-touring bikes!
Storm handguards have an aerodynamic design and a larger profile that wraps around the hands to offer excellent wind and weather protection. The wide profile is great for street riding and open trails. Storm Full-Wrap Backbone with two mounting points, this is the strongest backbone available, and is recommended for dual-sport and adventure touring bikes.
Barkbusters handguards were first manufactured in 1984 and now have over 28 years of motorcycle industry experience and riding enthusiasm. That history means Barkbusters has what it takes to produce the finest handguards available on the market today. In the unlikely event that you break a part of the handguard, every piece is replaceable.
This is really perfect fit to my Triumph 800xc pretty solid bar and I always feel secure using this hand guard.

Great for keeping the cold off your hands
I live in the NW where it rains and gets down right cold. This storm guards have helped keep my hand warm during the cold weather as well as deflect rain away from my hands. This is a great product and has helped my riding experience become more comfortable.

Very sturdy and huge upgrade from OEM guards.
Easy install and they seem like they'll provide much better protection on the trail. Wind protection is about the same as the OEM guards, but these definitely seem much beefier than Triumph's.

I purchased these for my Tiger 800XC and they work great. They block the wind and are rugged enough to take a hard fall, highly recommended for any serious rider.

The handgards installed in approximately 20 minutes, instructions were great
The main reason I purchased the handgaurds were for cold weather wind protection. They worked great, I was able to go to a lighter winter glover which increased the flexability of my hands on the controls. I love them

Nice Handguards. They were as expected. Fit is very good and qualithy is very good as well. They also block the wind well as that's why I choose this model over the other model. The mounting brackets do fit very close to the front brake line and the clutch cable although.

A shopper asked:Is the screw to secure these handguards to the end of the handlebar the same thread-pitch as the OEM 800XC bolts and the already installed anchors? If not, how do I remove the OEM anchor at the end of the handlebar to install your anchor?Jan 30, 2014
Brian R:Same thread pitch. Also, I bought the Kaoko Throttle Lock and added it without issues. This bark busters kit comes with two lengths of bolt, one for the Tiger 800xc and one for the Explorer 1200. The shorter is for the 800 and I used that on the left side. The longer I used on the right side because the throttle lock is essentially just a function washer/spacer. The anchor in the bars is also drilled all the way through so there is no worry of bottoming out the bolt that ends up going about .2" deeper than the original. And we therefore know we have plenty of bite on the threads as well. Use blue locktite. I also have the OEM heated grips installed, which I did myself and I have to say I think anyone can do it so long as they use fishing line and an 11" zip tie (with the square end cut off) to lace the line through the oem/stock bars to pull the wire leads through the tiny pre-drilled hole in the bars. All of it went together pretty easily.Jan 31, 2014
Douglas P:You do not have to remove the OEM anchor. The screws supplied with the handguards screw into the OEM anchors. The only issue I had when installing the handguards was on the clutch side. There is limited movement (adjustability) of the clutch lever in a more downward position for ridiing while standing. The clutch cable has to be positioned above the handlebar clamp which limits the positioning of the clutch lever. Barkbusters make an s-shaped connector which allows a more downward positioning of the clutch lever. Hope that makes sense.Feb 1, 2014
David P:The install kit for the barkbuster is bike specific, so, yes, the thread-pitch for the bolts that attach the backbone bar to the handle bars ends would be made to fit the 800XC. My kit was for the Tiger Explorer, but it included hardware to fit the Barkbuster to the 800.Jan 31, 2014
