Arlen Ness Stage 2 Big Sucker Air Cleaner Kit For Harley Sportster

Arlen Ness, the "King of Choppers," knows a thing or two about performance. The Big Sucker is the best-selling and most powerful air cleaner kit on the market - period. Simply, the Big Sucker is designed to give your engine maximum airflow for maximum performance. Testing shows that by simply installing a Big Sucker kit, horsepower gains of up to 21% are attainable.

Big Sucker kits feature patented, hidden breather backing plate technology - this means the breathers are incorporated into the air cleaner housing itself. Gone are unsightly external hoses and hardware, giving your bike a super-clean look. Each hidden breather has a sealing O-ring at the heads and exits at the carburetor or throttle body inlet to provide efficient internal engine pressure relief.

Air Filters are made one at a time using the finest materials available. Filters are all pre-oiled, and feature four layers of surgical-grade cotton to promote airflow and filter air effectively. The filters are hand-poured one at a time in a urethane body, unlike many other filters that are spun, which can leave a residue on the filtration media.

The Stainless Jacketed Filter differs from the Standard Filter in two areas: The mesh supporting the gauze is made of a rust-resistant stainless steel as opposed to standard carbon steel, and the cotton filtration gauze is in its natural (white) color, rather than the pink/red hue of the Standard Filter.

All kits include a Big Sucker backing plate, high-flow filter, chrome banjo bolts, gasket, hardware, and simple instructions.

The Stage 2 kit differs from the Stage 1 by including a 20% larger air filter element.

Note: Air cleaner images are for reference only. All kits on this page will include filter of your choice.

Great quality great price I'm running this on a 2015 sportster 48. Couldn't be happier with it. August 19, 2015
great shipping was fast and fit only issue was I had to cut a gasket out of gasket paper to make an airtight fit from the mount to the frame May 8, 2015
this product is great very easy instructions to use, anyone looking to upgrade their stock air cleaner, this is a great product. it really wakes up the bike. highly recommended a tune or rejet. April 27, 2015
easy to install, looks great, noticeable performance improvement easy to install. simple, straightforward. looks awesome with flat chrome cover - best looking option on the market. my stainless steel filter was black and not white like in the photos, for what its worth. can feel the performance improvement. very happy with product. April 20, 2015
Sucker!!!! This thing can't lie once you start the bike you can hear the air flow I'm very satisfied with this product. Thanks Revzilla.... April 13, 2015
Big Sucker doesn't suck. Although the stock heads on my 48 are only capable of flowing so much air and the Big Sucker II is probably overkill, I am a happy man. The Sporty now feels so much more "together". It's not just the extra power. I fitted this cleaner and loaded a new tune to remap the EFI and the bike now runs so much sweeter. It made me realise that the 48 is a bit of a dud out of the box, but nice to know there is all that potential! March 16, 2015
Awesome addition Revzilla came through delivering this product so fast for starters. The Arlen Ness Big Sucker is awesome. Simple yet very efficient. Installation isn't bad but I would go through it carefully. Very satisfied. March 7, 2015

Randy H: Yes. You would select the cover you want from the drop down menu above.

Best purchase I've made for the bike. Flattens the torque curve immensely. No more constant shifting.

Gabriel N asked: How do I tell if I need stage 1 or stage 2? Is it just a matter of preference? Jul 23, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Randy H: It is a matter of preference. The stage one is smaller and doesn't allow as much air in as a stage two. This may present issues if you plan to modify your bike more heavily later on. Of course, if your exhaust is restrictive either won't make a great deal of difference. If you buy either, and you have a fuel injected bike, you'll need a tuner (if carburated you'll have to rejet). Paired with a tuner, this easy modification produced the single biggest jump in horsepower and torque. Well worth the money. Jul 23, 2015

Daniel N: Its matter of preference.... I got the stage two for Sportster Iron as will fuel pak.... the stage two is bigger and a bit more bulky than the one, I think you be fine with the stage one personally, if I were to purchase another Id likely get the stage one over the stage two for a sportster.... Guilherme C: Stage 2 offers 20% more filtration surface. Usually we don't NEED more input, it just makes things cooler.

A shopper asked: Can I go straight to stage 2 and skip stage 1 air filters? Dec 12, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
eugene r: Yes just put this on my new 2013 Road King Classic. took about 15 min. just unbolted the original and the new fit perfect and bolted right on. Makes a big difference.

I also added the Rienhart 2 into 2 dual exhausts and 3.5 inch mufflers together the increased performance was amazing.
