Made to fit! This rainsock is made to fit the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 air cleaner. HD makes one that will fit, but I don't like giant logos on things and prefer to spend a little extra for something that I know was MADE for the product I have. Installation was extremely simple and it seems to last and work. November 14, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Chris C: I ride a lot in the rain, because if you don't ride in the rain...you don't ride! Mar 13, 2015
Jon F: makes good sense! Oct 8, 2014
William W: I live in rainy Washington state. While I don't plan on doing a lot of riding in the rain, always nice to have this to throw in my saddle bag to use in case of emergency, so that I can get home or to someplace dry. Oct 8, 2014
Chase G: This is the only place that offered slip over sock instead of one you have to put on taking your breather apart. I needed one to slipon Jul 26, 2014
A shopper asked: Will this fit the Vance & Hines stage 1? Jan 12, 2015

Matthew W: I believe so. Anything that has a 5.5" diameter filter or cover should work with the Arlen Ness Rain Sock. I would say though, unless you already purchased and installed the VO2 air cleaner, you should get the Arlen Ness Big Sucker. I have the Big Sucker Stage 1 on my Street Bob with the Stainless filter and it is great. Very simple install. From the looks of the installation guide .pdf for the VH air cleaner, its got a lot of extra crap you don't need. Jan 12, 2015

Garth T: I purchased this as a cover for my stock filter which I'm fairly sure is larger than the Vance and Hines a stage 1. I ride an HD Iron 883. I sure this will fit the what you're looking at. Jan 12, 2015

Adrian O asked: Does the water repellency wear out? If so how long does it normally last? Feb 2, 2015

Kyle R: I'm not sure if it has any repellent chemicals or coating, non noticed. I believe the very small size of the cross fibers/netting is what gives it the ability to keep water from coming in. I've had mine for about a year with no issues and don't see any arising. I've riden hours in the rain and wash the bike often with direct spay. The only way I see it will never work is if it either gits cut or really stretched out which is hard to do once mounted. Feb 17, 2015

Matthew W: I have had mine on for probably nearing a year. Granted, I don't ride in the rain much, but these are washable so I imagine they don't lose ability to repel water. The material is just very very tight where it doesn't allow much, if any, water in. Its called a pre-filter, so its really just an extra filter for your filter to keep water, and finer dust/dirt particles out. Feb 17, 2015
