Followed the instructions on how to fit the helmet. When it came in it seemed too tight but after a few times it broke in rear good and now fits fine.

Great protection, good fit and plenty of air. I've owned a lot of helmets in the past and really like my new Arai XD-3; for me it's as good for Adv riding as my Schubert is for touring. The fit and finish are outstanding.
Even though it's a little on the expensive side you've got to keep in mind how important a helmet is and cutting corners on your helmet is the last place to look.

My head measures 22 1/4" so medium XD3 fits perfect. Small is too tight on forehead. Std 25 mm cheeks were tight so changed to 20 mm. This helmet is very comfortable. Did first 300 miles in high winds and 40 F so all vents were closed and as expected opened the visor open a hair to clear fogging at low speed. There are major vents in the XD3 so hot weather will be no problem. On interstate at 80 mph I was very pleased with minimal buffeting from the visor, although a killer cross wind did wrench on the helmet. My R1200GSA has a good windscreen but I suppose highway buffeting may be an issue if you don't have a windscreen. Overall I'm super happy with the XD3.

People always comment on how my helmet looks BA. The majority of motorcycle riders around here ride sports bikes. My friends and I are all enduro riders. Our friends say we look like a bunch of HALO Spartans on motorcycles lol. The fit was a bit tight at first but was remedied with thinner cheek pads (25mm --> 15mm). The helmet has already saved my head during numerous falls while off roading. It also saved my eyeballs as I didn't see this little twig sticking out of a branch until the last second which hit me right in the visor. Love this helmet. Going to get another Arai helmet soon as I feel like I'm addicted to buying helmets now.

This helmet has not let me down! Love the air flow the extreamly light weight and the overall appearance!
I've only had it up around 80mph so far and have not noticed any buffering with the beak. When you do lane checks there is a little more resistance pulling your head to the side but nothing to severe.
The vision from the helmet is great. With no distortion in the lens except for about 1/8" on the very bottom like Anthony describes in his review. The vision is also enhanced with the beak! The beak protects from a glaring sun and makes a commute that much better.
Overall great helmet with great features and awesome styling! It is a bit on the pricey side but well worth it for what it is protecting!

I have owned several Arai helmets and have been pleased with them all. This XD3 is awesome in every way! Great style, looks, paint, air flow, etc. I was worried about the wind buffeting with the visor, but no worries! The visor looks super cool with my new Ducati Multistrada and the visor presents no problems at high speed. Highly recommend this helmet in every way! I wear a medium and the fit is consistent and perfect!

The Arai XD-3 Helmet is not going to fit the same as the Arai Profile Helmet. The Arai Profile has slightly longer oval shape and is also a little more narrow when compared to the XD-3. If the Profile has worked well for you, in the interest of consistency, we would recommend sticking with it.
