Excellent helmet, I got exactly what I ordered, can't beat Arai!
I would recommend Arai helmets to anyone, and I will continue to use Revzilla for all my gear needs. This company got my product to me fast, the price was very competitive, and I even earned reward points to use towards my next purchase!

Worth every penny.
I recently purchased this helmet to replace my out-of-date Arai Vector I. Overall, I would describe it as the next logical generation of Arai base-model helmet. I was most pleased with the fit, which is an intermediate oval shape, and has not changed from the Vector I. The new visor width also impressed me, with greatly improved peripheral vision which helps in multi-lane traffic situations. I also like that the helmet liner is easily removable for washing, especially since my Vector I smells quite...used.
I have only two grievances with this helmet: The visor and airflow noise. The visor system has always been challenging for me. In fact, I spent 20 minutes last week trying to get it back on after removing it for cleaning. I understand that the purpose of Arai's helmet locking system is aerodynamics, and it does suit that purpose well. However, there MUST be a better way of getting the visor detached and re-attached. Arai even sends a DVD with every helmet to try and explain how to put it back together!
Airflow over the helmet is much smoother than the Vector I, with an equal level of noise. However the air travelling into the chimney vent tends to create a whistling noise at approximately 70 MPH. However after a few weeks of use, I have learned to ignore it and can't honestly recall the last time that I noticed it. This also might be due in part to the air flow over the windscreen of my bike, so you'll have to try it out on your own.

Is there a down side to Arai helmets
What can be said about arai helmets that has not been stated before. If your head is the right shape for a arai helmet then you will be happy to know your search for a helmet ends here. The vector 2 gives you everything that you could want in a helmet low weight, great visibility, and un-matched comfort. Not to mention a pure breed line of race tried and tested saftey features that make any of the aria helmets a easy choice.

Vector 2 medium
This helmet fit great. The sizing chart was spot on. The interred or lining is very comfortable. This helmet is definitely an oval shape. Lots of airflow, but also a fair amount of noise. This is a great helmet

Vector 2 is lightweight!
This is my first Arai helmet and by far the best purchase I've made so far. As soon as I put it on I was amazed at how light it was...it feels like the helmet isn't there. The interior is soft and fits firm with no pressure points...cheek pads are a bit on the tight side but will break in over time. Side to side vision is great making head checks a breeze. The ventilation is very good...even at a stand still I can feel the air flowing thru the nose/brow vents. The only complaint I have is that when the visor is closed it tends to fog up pretty quick. Overall I'd highly recommend this helmet to anyone...and big thanks to revzilla for a easy transaction!

Great helmet
Was between the Shoei RF1100 and the vector 2, ultimately I purchased the arai simply because it fit my head better when I sized them at the dealer. My head measured a little under 58cm/22.75in and that fell under the Medium using the arai size guide. Upon trying the helmets at the dealer, the medium fit a little too snug up top so I purchased the Large. After using for about a month, the helmet is breaking in - and it is too big. I should've gone with the size chart. It still fits well, but a medium would have been perfect. Better features on the RF1100, but better quality liner, fitment on the vector 2.
Overall - Very comfortable, looks real sweet and worth every penny.

Very comfortable, my 2nd Vector 2
Great helmet. My last one got scrapped and I bought the same helmet. I don't have much to compare it to, so I can't comment on wind noise and features too much. It does fog up a lot on very cold days at log speeds, but it's great on hot days, plenty of airflow. It's pretty quiet under 50mph or so, and is very light. I forget I'm wearing it! The padding is very plush and soft. Can't go wrong with this helmet, it's great!
