Arai Vector 2 Katsuyuki Nakasuga Replica Helmet

The Arai Vector 2 Motorcycle Helmet is the successor to Arai's hugely popular Vector model. New features for the Vector 2 Helmet include an SAI visor similar to RX-Q and Corsair V which provides wider field of vision. A replaceable interior liner has been modified to improve air flow around the head and to provide a more comfortable fit eliminating pressure points. The ventilation system has been revamped with a larger size switch and larger rear duct which will create 50% more vacuum..

  • Solid Colors
    • "Frost" indicates a Matte finish
    • "Diamond" refers to a metallic finish with metal flake
  • Complex Laminate Construction (CLC) shell that combines excellent shell integrity with light weight
  • Arai's exclusive multi-density, single piece hybrid EPS liner
    • Arai's multi-density EPS liner is like no other, comprised of up to 5 different densities in some models which is molded into a single piece
    • The single-piece hybrid liner and its unique benefit: the direct-fused contact area that each EPS call shares with its neighboring cells creates a mutual support - as one cell is crushed under impact, the surrounding cells assist with the energy absorption. (Liner pieces that are simply fitted or glued together cannot rely on such a high-level support bond.)
  • New ACF-2 front intake vent has an oversized intake opening for better airflow, and a sliding-door mechanism to more completely close it
  • Brow Vent Faceshield Ventilation System provides cooling air in upper face area without holes in critical forehead area of the shell or in the impact-absorbing liner material
  • Exclusive removable 5 mm Peel - away Cheek and Temple Pad layer-provides additional level of customization and fitment
  • Extreme peripheral view - same wider field of side to side visibility as the top-of-the-line Corsair V racing helmet (an additional 5mm on each side when compared to to previous Vector model)
  • New tuned rear vent/wing - Air inlets provide improved interior ventilation and heat removal
  • Hyper-Ridge band - newly sculpted lower reinforcement band provides stability and lower center of gravity for a lightweight feeling.
  • Larger side exhaust ports to increase airflow and minimize noise
  • Dual pivot chin vent to direct air to the rider or the shield for de-misting
  • Reinforced shell ridges with integrated side exhaust vents
  • Larger bottom opening for easier on and off
  • Removable/replaceable cheek pads with 5mm peel-away layer
  • Micro-fitting:
    • 5mm peel away cheek pad layer first introduced on the RX-Q comes standard on the Vector 2.
    • Gives you the option of a thinner cheek pad set for a custom fit without having to purchase additional cheek pads
    • Expanding on the 5mm peel-away cheek pads, the Arai Vector 2 is the first Arai model to offer 5mm peel away temple pads as well
  • Interior Shape:
    • Intermediate Oval - This shape is designed for the rider whose head has a front-to-back dimension that is longer than the side-to-side dimension. This is a neutral head-shape design which tends to fit most riders well.
  • Meets or exceeds Snell M2010 and D.O.T. standards

Long live Ireland Awesome helmet. I stepped up from an intro helmet made by Bilt, from cycle gear. The fit is perfect neither large nor small. The fit is snug which I like particularly. If you watch the video on this helmet everything turns out exact. It does what it's supposed to and more. My only dislike would have to be the side pods changing lens is an easy process at first. All and all great buy. Arai seems to be top notch. December 12, 2014
Great helmet... Pleased with purchase I'm doing this review as an out of box assessment because I haven't ridden with it yet but most of my concerns were satisfied upon inspection, so I can't give a true opinion on air flow. My number one concern with this helmet was that the build quality would be inferior to my RX-7 Corsair. (replaced by the Corsair V) I was worried that maybe it wan't up to snuff, as Arai's entry level helmet, Coming from their top of the line helmet, despite the positive Revzilla reviews. Welp, I was wrong. I was very happy to open the box and find that it feels just as solid and well made as my previous helmet. The finish is just as beautiful, the graphics as carefully done, well designed and applied. All of the moving parts seem to be made with as much care as the top of the line Arai helmets. It even has the same heft as my RX-7, meaning it doesn't feel like cheap products were used to make it. I put it on and it feels very comfortable, exactly like my other Arai. I can't comment on noise but to say, I thought my RX-7 was always a pretty quiet helmet and they are supposed to be noisier, as their race helmet. I never wear ear plugs now. After wearing only Arai helmets for 12 years, I don't expect a difference. My vision from it is great, as well. I don't see this helmet being any problem or expect any regrets. It doesn't have the air vents of my RX-7 but it was about half of the price. In shape comparison, it's not radically different from the profile but a little wider, looking strait at it. I slapped a blue mirrored shield on it and it's great... ready for street and track. The shields on Arai helmets will always be a pain in my but to change, this being no exception but that's Arai, haha... I'd make this purchase again. (I wrote this for people wondering about the comparison, from a customer, to the top end Arai helmets, as I was... go for it.) December 10, 2014
Most comfortable helmet I've ever had Only knock on the helmet is that I had to upsize due to the closeness of the helmet to mouth. I believe this small clearence is for safety reasons but it's still a concern. I have a large head and this is the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. December 1, 2014
I'm Lovin' It! This helmet fits me great and is a step up from the one I was wearing. I feel more secure in it. I have a small oval shaped head and the Arai Vector-2 cradles like a baby.Contrary to some beliefs I ride a Harley and also use this helmet with the pro shade system and love it! November 14, 2014
Delicate vents I wear this yellow helmet in full black leather pants, jacket, gloves, boots most of the time. Standard motorcycle, Ducati Monster 696 '13. Reporting after 18 months. The top vents, front and back are very delicate. One drop onto a locker room floor from a 2 ft bench is enough to crack them. Fortunately they are replaceable. Order several sets of air vents per year at $75. The eyebrow vents flow considerably, enough to make the eyes water on a cold morning. The eyebrow vents are limited in the number of openings/closings they can take, or falls, after which they need to be replaced as they will not hold lock position. The lock tab with slight visor crack (de-misting purposes) for over 65 mph is a bad design; the tab is thin and weak and requires considerable stress on the tab to insert--only a handful of uses is enough to require a new lock tab purchase. Have ridden this in mild southern California, as well as 90 percent humidity Florida in the summertime. Air flow is exceptional, really no need to go half shell or zero helmet like so many riders in the south. Just be in shape and be under 10% body fat. October 24, 2014
Arai Quality at a Fair Price. I've only ridden with this helmet for 200-300 miles but I really like it. I've been riding with a modular for the last 10 years and decided I needed to go with a safer helmet. I also purchased the shade system and pinlock insert and both work very well. I have always worn a large and after watching the fitment video and checking out Arai's website I realized I was probably wearing too big of a lid. I gave the medium a try, and yes it was tight at first, but after a couple of hours it is incredibly comfortable. I did have to adjust the top liner but that's the beauty of this helmet, Arai built that function in. One of the most important things to me was being able to wear my glasses and even though this helmet fits snug they've made it very glasses friendly. Great product and great tips on fitment from RevZilla. October 20, 2014
Worth the $$ Coming from an older Suomy Spec1R to this Arai... Fit was typical narrow oval of Arai. Noise level suprisingly low. Love the hi-vis aspect. You will stand out in traffic! September 16, 2014
Arai is all you need. Amazing helmet! When it comes to helmets, there are so many manufactures that offer their idea of what a helmet should be. Arai is what everyone tries to accomplish. They are the bench-marking helmet manufacture. I will not own any other brand of helmet. Once you ride with one, you'll forever be hooked with the brand. Excellent build quality Extremely comfortable Light and durable Great air-flow Great looking helmet September 15, 2014
