Arai Vector 2 High-Viz Neon Helmet

The Arai Vector 2 Motorcycle Helmet is the successor to Arai's hugely popular Vector model. New features for the Vector 2 Helmet include an SAI visor similar to RX-Q and Corsair V which provides wider field of vision. A replaceable interior liner has been modified to improve air flow around the head and to provide a more comfortable fit eliminating pressure points. The ventilation system has been revamped with a larger size switch and larger rear duct which will create 50% more vacuum.

The high-visibility color scheme is an excellent choice for those who wish to be safe as possible, studies have shown that rider visibility is a key factor in reducing motorcycle accidents.

  • Complex Laminate Construction (CLC) shell that combines excellent shell integrity with light weight
  • Arai's exclusive multi-density, single piece hybrid EPS liner
    • Arai's multi-density EPS liner is like no other, comprised of up to 5 different densities in some models which is molded into a single piece
    • The single-piece hybrid liner and its unique benefit: the direct-fused contact area that each EPS call shares with its neighboring cells creates a mutual support - as one cell is crushed under impact, the surrounding cells assist with the energy absorption. (Liner pieces that are simply fitted or glued together cannot rely on such a high-level support bond.)
  • New ACF-2 front intake vent has an oversized intake opening for better airflow, and a sliding-door mechanism to more completely close it
  • Brow Vent Faceshield Ventilation System provides cooling air in upper face area without holes in critical forehead area of the shell or in the impact-absorbing liner material
  • Exclusive removable 5 mm Peel - away Cheek and Temple Pad layer-provides additional level of customization and fitment
  • Extreme peripheral view - same wider field of side to side visibility as the top-of-the-line Corsair V racing helmet (an additional 5mm on each side when compared to to previous Vector model)
  • New tuned rear vent/wing - Air inlets provide improved interior ventilation and heat removal
  • Hyper-Ridge band - newly sculpted lower reinforcement band provides stability and lower center of gravity for a lightweight feeling.
  • Larger side exhaust ports to increase airflow and minimize noise
  • Dual pivot chin vent to direct air to the rider or the shield for de-misting
  • Reinforced shell ridges with integrated side exhaust vents
  • Larger bottom opening for easier on and off
  • Removable/replaceable cheek pads with 5mm peel-away layer
  • Micro-fitting:
    • 5mm peel away cheek pad layer first introduced on the RX-Q comes standard on the Vector 2.
    • Gives you the option of a thinner cheek pad set for a custom fit without having to purchase additional cheek pads
    • Expanding on the 5mm peel-away cheek pads, the Arai Vector 2 is the first Arai model to offer 5mm peel away temple pads as well
  • Interior Shape:
    • Intermediate Oval - This shape is designed for the rider whose head has a front-to-back dimension that is longer than the side-to-side dimension. This is a neutral head-shape design which tends to fit most riders well.
  • Meets or exceeds Snell M2010 and D.O.T. standards

Arai Vector 2 High-Viz Neon Helmet 4.7 5 58 58
Vector 2 medium This helmet fit great. The sizing chart was spot on. The interred or lining is very comfortable. This helmet is definitely an oval shape. Lots of airflow, but also a fair amount of noise. This is a great helmet April 3, 2013
Vector 2 is lightweight! This is my first Arai helmet and by far the best purchase I've made so far. As soon as I put it on I was amazed at how light it was...it feels like the helmet isn't there. The interior is soft and fits firm with no pressure points...cheek pads are a bit on the tight side but will break in over time. Side to side vision is great making head checks a breeze. The ventilation is very good...even at a stand still I can feel the air flowing thru the nose/brow vents. The only complaint I have is that when the visor is closed it tends to fog up pretty quick. Overall I'd highly recommend this helmet to anyone...and big thanks to revzilla for a easy transaction! April 1, 2013
Great helmet Was between the Shoei RF1100 and the vector 2, ultimately I purchased the arai simply because it fit my head better when I sized them at the dealer. My head measured a little under 58cm/22.75in and that fell under the Medium using the arai size guide. Upon trying the helmets at the dealer, the medium fit a little too snug up top so I purchased the Large. After using for about a month, the helmet is breaking in - and it is too big. I should've gone with the size chart. It still fits well, but a medium would have been perfect. Better features on the RF1100, but better quality liner, fitment on the vector 2. Overall - Very comfortable, looks real sweet and worth every penny. April 1, 2013
Very comfortable, my 2nd Vector 2 Great helmet. My last one got scrapped and I bought the same helmet. I don't have much to compare it to, so I can't comment on wind noise and features too much. It does fog up a lot on very cold days at log speeds, but it's great on hot days, plenty of airflow. It's pretty quiet under 50mph or so, and is very light. I forget I'm wearing it! The padding is very plush and soft. Can't go wrong with this helmet, it's great! March 18, 2013
Aria takes pride in their craftsman ship. Revzilla has great product reviews to help you make informed decisions, the have great customer service, I buy allof my motorcycle gear from them and I recommend them to all the people in my riding club. February 25, 2013
I love this helmet I picked this up to replace my heavy and very loud Bell Vortex. I had tried on an Arai helmet in the past and it didn't fit well at all and had been told they generally were more for the round head shape whereas I'm an intermediate oval. I had been set on a Shoei RF1100 but decided to give the Vector 2 a try and absolutely loved the feel of it. It fit perfectly with a little bit of extra snugness around my head. I've had the helmet now for 5 months and it's still in great shape and has broken in nicely. For reference, my head circumference is 23" exactly and I went with the medium. Air flow is above average considering the lower noise level (as compared to the Vortex anyway). The helmet feels much more aerodynamic as well. When riding at highway speeds I don't feel my head getting buffeted nearly as much. I thought the lack of padding on the chin strap would be an issue but I have been pleasantly surprised to realize it is not an issue at all. The only 2 negatives I'd read about the helmet prior to purchasing were the miniscule chin skirt and a peculiar duck call noise that can come through the top vent when your head is tilted just the right way. The small chin skirt isn't an issue unless it's cold. The cold air easily gets directed up into my face keeping a breeze on me. The duck call noise through the top vent isn't a regular occurrence, it only happens when at highway speeds and tilting my head at just the right angle. When it happens though, it is pretty loud. While I can't swear to be an Arai guy for life, this helmet has definitely made a believer out of me in how much more comfortable it is to ride when you have such a plush, comfy helmet on your head. February 13, 2013
Vector 2 Great helmet. Jon helped me and went over and above by trying on helmets and directing me towards this helmet, so I could easily put on, and take off my glasses This should be part of Anthony's review on every helmet he reviews!! LOTS of riders wear glasses, but you never see the reviewer try to fit them thru the eye opening. The highest quality helmet I have ever owned. Great eye opening, great vision. Slightly heavier than expected. I would definitely recommend this helmet, and Revzilla for purchases! The customer service is second to NONE! January 7, 2013
Great helmet Fits great. Adjustable cheek pads make it perfect. December 31, 2012

Answer:
The yellow of the Arai Vector 2 High-Viz Neon Helmet is truly high-viz, which means that it is easily discernible from any background.

Below, our very own 'Hi-Viz Brian' demonstrates the colors star power.

Answer:
I've been wearing a black frost Quantum II for about a year now, and find it stays much cleaner than my gloss coat Quantum ever did, mostly because dead bug guts don't adhere to the surface as easily. When it needs some cleaning, about two minutes with a paper towel and Windex is all it takes.

On other thing to note - if you're like me and peel the stickers off, you'll find the matte finish will be and remain slightly less, um...matte-y (for lack of a better term) underneath.

Hi Judy!

I have the Arai Vector 2 and I just purchased the Arai SAI Max Vision Pinlock Shield and Inserts with brow vents. They are compatible and work very well with each other. I highly recommend the Arai Max Vision Shields and Inserts if you haven't picked them up already.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Bill

Answer:
All helmets sold by RevZilla (and any other US dealers) will include a DOT sticker for use in the US. They may also include a Snell M2005 or Snell M2010 sticker or an ECE 22.05 sticker. These helmets will not include an AUS standards sticker, and thus would technically be illegal to wear in Australia.

Answer:
Part of the checkout process reminds you that as an international buyer, the DOT sticker does not meet Australian helmet standards. There is no way Revzilla could add AS stickers either, they are fitted by local importers and that is the reason we pay absurd prices for helmets (not to mention other stuff our local retail thieves rip us off for). My new Shoei from Revzilla arrived with a DOT and Snell 2010 sticker but sadly the DOT sticker 'fell off', I was devastated ;-)

My old Shoei was DOT only as well for the same reason, I was done last Xmas for speeding and the traffic cop couldn't have cared less about my hat. He was a reasonable guy and I knew I had done wrong...I reckon he was miffed he never got my actual speed around the corner as he could not line up his laser until he had cleared it and I was slowing for red light. 84 in a 60 that should be 100, better than the original 140+

Another pointer for me came up ages ago when APEC was in Sydney. We had 12 police bikes outside our building (escorts for everybody) and 7 of the 12 riders had DOT only helmets. On that note however, if you are caught riding with a DOT only helmet (and you are not a NSW police rider) you will receive the fine and points equivalent of not wearing a helmet at all! My Snell 2010 exceeds anything our mental midget legislators have ever looked at, makes sense to me (and the government fine revenues).

Answer:
The venting is pretty similar in effect, however, the Vector is setup for a slightly more aggressive riding style, so a 3/4 sport-bike posture will flow more air with the Vector, while the RX-Q fairs better in a more standard (straight up and down) riding position.
