Nice extra for arai helmet
Work great nice wide vision. But the pinlock insert is very prone to microscratching. With every cleaning it will damage more and more. So get ready to use one new insert every 3 month o so. Otherwise it fullfill perfectly it purpose no fog even under tropical rain with helmet close.

No more foggy lense
Picked this up with the light smoke insert and they are both great. No more fog and the light smoke is "light" enough so I can wear it at night without any issues. I can ride all day and night with the visor down without having to worry about it fogging up. Also the max vision fills out opening completely, looks awesome! Great product!

Does what it says:)
I had used these before with a Shoei helmet. These work just as good and are no trouble at all. The trick to putting it on is to bend the visor into the open position as in the instructions and when the visor is open, the pinlock shield fits into place fine with no effort at all.
I ride in colder weather and it is a necessity for me and does what it says. I do not feel that I lose any vision or that it is heavy in any way.

Poor visibility, hard to adjust insert, plastic screws stripped
I purchased the tinted insert and corresponding Arai Max Vision shield for my new Vector 2 helmet. In most situations the view through the shield does not offer near the clarity one would get without the insert, mostly due to the way the light shines through the shield. If the sun is at any sort of angle above, left or right of the shield the view is kind of cloudy, not foggy but more like there's a ghosted image making it hard to clearly see the terrain. The darkest tinted insert is too light for anything but heavily diffused light like on a overcast weather day and despite my best efforts to read multiple directions and watch multiple videos on how to install the insert, I couldn't get mine to fully seal up. It is very hard to get the insert to seal around the brow vents even though the shield has a recess for the insert to fit into. Also the little tiny screws that you use to adjust the angle of the pins to increase pressure on the insert stripped out with very little pressure.

Not user friendly design
The small plastic locks that hold the insert in place were too difficult for me to work with. I stripped the phillips head when attempting to lock the insert into place. Had to replace both of the little black plastic locks on the shield. More that once the little plastic lock popped out of the face shield when I attempted to fit the insert into place inside the face shield. This system is just too fussy to deal with for my liking.

Great product. Completely solved the fogging issues
Works great. No longer fogging problems. Had it for two months with no problems with minimal fogging at the edges that do not interfere with vision. So far works great but I am concerned that the two little holding screws might not last as many years as I wish.

Easy drop-in solution
This shield cut fogging substantially down to temps as low as high 30s. Optics and visibility are great. Fits my helmet very well.

Staying Fog Free with a Double Pane Window
It tends to get foggy here in the SF Bay Area and the natural humidity attributes to condensation buildup and fogging inside one's helmet. That's where Pinlock comes in...
I installed this face shield on my RX-Q with a clear insert and it works like a charm! It is rather unfortunate that the face shield doesn't come with an insert, but Pinlock is definitely a worthwhile investment if you've ever experience poor vision as the result of fogging!
