I had originally bought a Nolan N103 as my first helmet because I was interested in the modular design. After borrowing a friend's full face inexpensive helmet, I realized just how noisy the helmet was and how lacking it was for airflow. I went looking for something better and decided to go with the RX-Q. I have been very pleased with the purchase so far. The airflow is amazing, it is much quieter than my N103, and surprisingly the vision width was better as well. I found that this helmet also fits my head shape better than my old one as well. It was nice to have the removable 5mm layer of foam in the cheek pads, it made the fit of the helmet even better. I bought the Blue Diamond color and in the sunlight it is definitely shows a lot more metallic flake than the pictures here would suggest. I also picked up a dark smoke visor so I don't have to worry about sunglasses. While it is very nice, it does take some effort to change out, but I expect to get better at it the more times I have to swap between the dark smoke and clear. I can't be more pleased with this helmet and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Extremely pleased with this purchase. Way more than I ever thought about spending for a noogin protector. Used to own Shoei RF1000. Well a car pulled out of a parking lot ..I had to look for a new helmet. I tried Arai----instant love affair as I realized the Arai RX-Q fit my semi oval head much better.Also, this helmet is much much quieter---need it as I live in the windy,very, part of Colorado. Attention to detail is impeccable. Best spent money this year !!

I almost threw up when I originally was thinking on purchasing this helmet at a price point of $521. However, I am happy as a pig in mud with my purchase. Who knew that nirvana could be attained by getting a helmet that can be customized to fit your noggin? You get what you pay for. I had been going cheap and getting HJC's (not a bad product by any means and if you can't afford $500+ price points, it beats the heck out of the alternative). Once I got my Hi-Viz Neon RX-Q, I had a life changing moment on the first use. A helmet that did NOT move when I hit 50 or above. Ventilation/Air Flow that is second to none. The ability to customize the interior to fit. Plus the cool factor of being an owner of a hand made helmet that stands out like a fly in milk.
I get comments now like (I guess someone can't claim to not have seen you, whoa - turn down the lights, etc)
In summary you can't fail owning this product and the staff at Revzilla is king when it comes to knowledge and guidance on the RX-Q.
Now with my combo of the tourmaster sonora i think i have attained the desired visibility factor. As my sister states ... "I look like a 6ft4in Highlighter".

Arai helmets are pricey, but also the best made. This is my 4th Arai (3 street, 1 motocross). The two dislikes of mine are: 1 - this model has too much cheek padding as delivered (once I went to optional, thinner padding, it fits great) and 2 - the face shields are not easy/quick to change and there is wind noise when partially open. Arai's quality is superior and out-weighs my minor complaints.

Excellent product from Arai. I ride in a tropical climate and I must say the ventiliation system of the RXQ is superb! Also, no hassle dealing with the people at Revzilla.
