Nice I ride a triumph street triple (fairly upright position). This helmet cuts through the wind nicely. It's been fairly cold, so I hope it lives up to its reviews of having nice ventilation. The visor is pretty easy to swap. The black looks great with gold visor March 2, 2015
Great airflow Extremely comfortable and light weight and it flows a ton of air. Only negative would be the D ring strap is not lined and it rubs on the jaw bone, but not a huge problem. Overall a great product. February 23, 2015
Excellent choice! Extremely satisfied! This helmet fits excellently and is well worth the cost. It is extremely comfortable and has plenty of airflow to keep you from fogging up the face shield. February 16, 2015
Replaced an Arai Quantum II The Arai Quantum II was the only helmet that really fit my head shape, so I was very sad when it was discontinued. I also have the Shuberth C3, which is ok for a couple of hours but has several problems. The Arai was the go-to helmet for extended travel. I called the Revzilla rep asking which helmet most closely resembled the fit of the Q2. He gave me two models, an HJC and this one. I checked both online and ordered the RX-Q. I'm so happy I called! The RX-Q fits just like my old Q2. I got the black pearl which is the sweet spot between matte and shiny. February 10, 2015
If you need a somewhat round head shape helmet and live in North America, get this now. I bought this helmet (in the Hi Viz Fluorescent Yellow) because of the company's reputation and because the RX-Q is one of the few remaining North American market helmets for my head shape. I have an ICON Airmada and Schuberth S2, yet this has already become my favorite helmet. It is the closest fit for my round head, has very good build quality, and it flows air very well. Background: the Airmada is famous for being one of the best bang-for-your-buck helmets as well providing tremendous air flow. The S2 is famous for being very quiet and having top-notch build quality. Unfortunately, neither of those helmets fit my round head shape. I developed hot spots after 90 minutes of riding in them - which was fine for most trips. Still, I needed a helmet for all-day riding. My head shape is round as is common in Asia. However, in North America and Europe, long oval and intermediate oval are more common thus Arai, Shoei, and others specifically distribute helmets for head shapes according to each region. The Arai Quantum II was perfect for my head shape (I tried on my friend's). Sadly, it was discontinued and its indirect replacement is the RX-Q which is in between a Round and Intermediate Oval. I had a choice: see if the RX-Q was round enough for my head, or buying an Arai from Japan which has several Round-shape models for her market. I chose the former option because I love Revzilla. How it feels: The fit of the helmet was slightly less comfortable than the Quantum II, but much better than the S2 and Airmada which are intermediate oval. No hot spots after several hours. The quality and vibrant Hi Viz paint-job on this is easily apparent, and motorists kept glancing at me. I appreciated that it came with silicone to lubricate the visor. Finally, the high airflow made riding on a warm day glorious given the numerous vents. At this price, some things bothered me like: a rough and scratchy chin strap, flimsy helmet bag, changing visors took too long, 3 massive logos which can't be removed, no retro-reflective materials anywhere, matte black vents and accents detract from the helmet's lines instead of being all solid Hi Viz like the other RX-Qs, and average quietness. The Schuberth addressed all of the above. Were it not for accommodating my round head shape, the S2 would be my favorite helmet, and I would have returned this one. With the Schuberth, I didn't need to wear ear plugs. With the Arai and Icon, I have to spend another minute or two dealing with them which is a hassle. February 9, 2015
Helmet all that I expected and more A firm fit but extremely comfortable. While a little noisy a much better fit for me than my old Shoei. Service delivery from Revzilla outstanding with regard to speed to New Zealand and quality of packaging - outstanding. January 30, 2015
AWESOME I highly recommend this helmet. I traded up from an ICON Airmada to this and the amount of features alone for airflow in incredible. This thing is so well balanced that your head doesn't feel bogged down. You must ensure you have a proper fit. Go to a dealer and do your due diligence by having them size you up. Then come and order from Revzilla :). Seriously though, I was riding with a helmet too large for me for almost two years before I decided to get measured and getting an Arai that's properly fitted makes all the difference with airflow issues. Nice helmet, hi-viz yellow with black still looks great, not like a bus. I like the Arai fine, the one real drawback is you can't really wear sunglasses with it as it doesn't have enough room. December 28, 2014

A shopper asked: How do Arai helmets fit with glasses, specifically the Oriental? Sep 4, 2012

PDXgearhoarder: It all depends on how thick and rigid or thin and malleable your temples are and what material they're made of. My ancient steel Raybans I can still manage to squeeze into the helmet. My Oakley Oil Rig and Gascan, forget about it. Like driving a railroad spike into my skull. Good god though, the helmet is gorgeous. Oct 4, 2012
