This helmets finish is top notch. The paint looks great. Unlike other helmets the features that this helmet has actually work. The shield defog setting works great, better then the "antifog" chemicals on other shields. The peak does pull a little at speed (55) but it isn't anything major and I haven't felt like it was preventing me from looking where I wanted to look.

An extremley functional, light and attractive helmet. Ordered the frost black; its black with a nice dark sparkle in the sun, looks nice. The huge contoured windsheild leaves you with an extremley wide range of view. Allthough i would like to have a tinted windsheild; the visor/peak does an extremley well job in blocking out the sun. It has alot of windflow and the intakes are huge, ive had small gnats gets sucked in, they just vent out the bottom. All in all the helmet is Amazing, if you're looking for a great dual sport style helmet that has alot of hidden features then this is the helmet for you. Worth every penny

I had originally bought a Fly Trekker DS helmet, but found the fit to be way too tight in the cheeks, I then went with an AFX FX39 and stepped it up a size, it was much too large.
After some debate I decided to go with the Arai XD3 because it was on sale from 699 down to 459 for the bosch black color scheme.
The only thing I wish that was available was custom cheekpads included at this price. I knew I needed the 12mm pads instead of the stock 20's but I understand the need to buy it that way, just wish I didn't have to.
First time out with the helmet, I noticed it fogging up a lot but I attribute that to the fact it was 15 degrees and I didn't have the vents set up right. I bought this helmet as an off-road helmet for use on my 755 raptor. Trail riding I don't want to wear goggles, so I thought this would be a good solution to that. Fit and finish of the helmet is fantastic.
For me this is the perfect helmet so far. I don't think I would have bought it for 700 but with the 459 sale on it, it is a perfect solution for my needs. It will never see on road riding, but I have no doubt it will protect me in the trails.

I purchased a small Aria XD-3 Hi-Viz Yellow helmet a few weeks ago and can not wait for the weather to warm up so I can take it for a test ride. The fit is extremely comfortable though the check pads may require adjustments. The finish of this Arai helmet is impeccable, all features work/snap/click/flip with positive feedback that is expected of a high-end premium product. I anticipate the protection/durability and airflow (which I did not rate) to be excellent; I will try to update this review after some riding time... Overall, Arai helmets are significantly more expensive than other less-premium helmets but the value you get is noticeable the second you get it out of the box. Highly recommended.

I really liked the way the helmet looked and appreciated the added visibility it would give me. Upon receipt I was very impressed with the helmet. Everything on it is at a level of quality I have not owned before. The fit of the shield stood out, as did the quality and ease of operation of the vents. Although I used the fit chart and video on revzilla, and my measurement put me between a Med and Large, the Large is still uncomfortably tight. I wore the helmet for quite awhile inside (because if you go for a ride you cannot return it) and just never felt comfortable in it. I'm not sure if I need an XL (out of stock) or if perhaps the shape is not right for me. I'm also not willing to pay multiple return shipping fees to keep trying helmets so I will go back to trying on before purchasing. All customer service from revzilla was fantastic, and I won't hesitate to buy items from them in the future...but I am unlikely to attempt to purchase helmets via mail order again without trying on one prior to ordering.
