Arai Corsair V Edwards Replica Helmet

The new Corsair V proves again that Arai’s main focus is the experienced rider who knows what a real helmet should do and have. It doesn’t fling fashion at you; it advanced the art of building better helmets for riders. Its improvements and innovations reach down to the smallest details. Why? Partly obsession. Partly because Arai believes every part of a helmet is interrelated in both design and function. We don’t believe in change for the sake of change, fad, or marketing “shock” value.

  • Newly designed shell with Hyper-Ridge around the bottom enhances shell strength while providing a larger bottom opening
  • Larger bottom opening promotes ease of putting on and taking off the helmet
  • Peripheral belting across the forehead area of the shell enhances structural integrity while maintaining flexibility, low weight and shell size
  • Larger upper vent tabs make operating the vents easier even with thick winter gloves
  • New Arai “SAI” shield with Super AdSis shield system
  • New “SAI” shield is 5mm longer in each side and provides a wider field of view
  • New “SAI” shield and base plates are exclusive to Corsair V helmets
  • Latest generation of Dry Cool line has a new silver-grey color
  • Rear mounting straps are slightly re-positioned exclusively to the Corsair V
  • Neckroll is removable and has additional exhaust channels to remove interior heat
  • Cheek pads have the exclusive Emergency Release Tab feature
  • Newly designed side exhaust cowls exhaust heat as well as add lateral stability at speed
  • Enhanced air inlets of the new DF-9 diffuser increase airflow efficiency
  • Brow vents now duct air into the temple area and out the side vents for maximum cooling
  • Exclusive AirWing provides unprecedented aerodynamic performance with 5 distinct positions
  • Snell M2010 Certified

Solid helmet - no issues This is my third Corsair V, and I've had no problems with any of them so far. I'd definitely recommend it, but it's more of a race-oriented helmet as opposed to a commuter; definitely a good amount of noise in the helmet. January 2, 2013
Lighter in weight and more visibility Compared to my Arai RX-7RR4, this helmet is lighter, has a wider area of visibility and increased air flow. Again compared to the RX-7RR4, I find the Corsair-V has a more open area around the nose and mouth. This could be a good or bad thing depending on your personal preference. Like someone mentioned earlier, riding in colder weather did prove that the air flow and open area around the face can be an issue. I too had to resort to a face mask and keeping the head tilted down to minimize the cold air. Riding with the mask, made for a much more enjoyable ride with the helmet. Frost Black looks great! Wow worth every penny What can I say about this helmet one word AMAZING super light weight. I ended up getting the white diamond and the pics online does it no justice. Great airflow, balanced real well the adjustable rear spoiler helps at high speeds. Arai has done a great job with this helmet . Buy this helmet it's worth every penny it's a Arai Corsair V you can't go wrong. January 14, 2013
Great helmet This helmet is the s**t. Very light and comfortable. Its not the greatest helmet for cold weather riding though.the air flow through this helmet is sick. I wore a baclava underneath the helmet and was comfortable in 42 degrees. Peripheral vision is good on this helmet makes looking over shoulder easier. Its a really good helmet is it worth the coin at least i think so. December 24, 2012
Whats not to like? The Race Carbon is truly crazy light like everyone says. Compared to previous helmets I have owned it almost feels weightless. The price is high of course but it is amazing. Flows good air, quiet enough, and great view area. November 27, 2012
Fit is amazing Wow, simply the best helmet that has ever been on my head. Bravo Arai!!! October 7, 2012
Best ventilation but noisy I bought this helmet for its excellent ventilation and it didnt let me down. My first ride was in 90 degree temps and the vents worked great. When I got home I realized I didn't even have them all open! It is a bit noisy but with my old helmet I needed the visor open for air so technically my experiance is that it is quieter. If you use ear plugs (everyone should) its not out of hand or annoying. I have noticed no buffeting at all even when turning my head at triple digit speeds. It is very comfortable and the quality of the finish is top notch. Its a bit heavier than expected but I do have an xxl. Overall it is far better than I expected and at the price I expected alot.
