Arai Corsair V Edwards Helmet

The Arai Corsair V Helmet proves again that Arai’s main focus is the experienced rider who knows what a real helmet should do and have. It doesn’t fling fashion at you; it advanced the art of building better helmets for riders. Its improvements and innovations reach down to the smallest details. Why? Partly obsession. Partly because Arai believes every part of a helmet is interrelated in both design and function. We don’t believe in change for the sake of change, fad, or marketing “shock” value.

  • Newly designed shell with Hyper-Ridge around the bottom enhances shell strength while providing a larger bottom opening
  • Larger bottom opening promotes ease of putting on and taking off the helmet
  • Peripheral belting across the forehead area of the shell enhances structural integrity while maintaining flexibility, low weight and shell size
  • Larger upper vent tabs make operating the vents easier even with thick winter gloves
  • New Arai “SAI” shield with Super AdSis shield system
  • New “SAI” shield is 5mm longer in each side and provides a wider field of view
  • New “SAI” shield and base plates are exclusive to Corsair V helmets
  • Latest generation of Dry Cool line has a new silver-grey color
  • Rear mounting straps are slightly re-positioned exclusively to the Corsair V
  • Neckroll is removable and has additional exhaust channels to remove interior heat
  • Cheek pads have the exclusive Emergency Release Tab feature
  • Newly designed side exhaust cowls exhaust heat as well as add lateral stability at speed
  • Enhanced air inlets of the new DF-9 diffuser increase airflow efficiency
  • Brow vents now duct air into the temple area and out the side vents for maximum cooling
  • Exclusive AirWing provides unprecedented aerodynamic performance with 5 distinct positions
  • DOT approved
  • Snell M2010 Certified

There's a reason Arai is arguably the best helmet out there. I am biased. I have been wearing Arai helmets since 1990 and it's because of comfort, style, and oh yeah, they've literally saved my life on more than one occasion. This specific helmet is great, fits great, looks good, good airflow, and lightweight. It's a bit loud, but that could be the bike I'm on, just switched from a lower exhaust to an under saddle one. Yes, I wish they cost less, but in this case, it's worth it. FYI, mine is a Medium. April 26, 2016
Great race helmet I use this helmet for track days and racing. It has great performance at high speed track use. It is very light and the aerodynamics are great for my applications. April 26, 2016
If you value your head intact, go with the best, go with Arai Not a great deal to add other than what other reviewers have already said. Helmet is lighter and more comfortable than most other models I've tried. Just feels like it fits tight but not suffocating. The paint and finish on the Edwards model are just amazing - photos don't do it justice at all. Arai is still the best. March 8, 2016
Excellent helmet This review is for Isle of Man TT 2015. Beautiful helmet and like always, top notch quality all around. Airflow is flow is nice and helmet is a bit loud compare to my Signet Q but other than that, perfect helmet. Probably in a few years I'm gonna down grade to an Arai RX-Q since I don't track at all. AraI Excellence... BUT I love this helmet. The quality, protection, fit, and finish are second to none. My only gripe is one of aesthetics- in that I normally remove any and all brand stickers from everything I own. With the high end Arai Custom Graphics helmets, the stickers are affixed before the clear-coat gets sprayed on! GRRR. Here's an amazing 900.00 helmet with a fabulous graphics scheme, wonderfully finished.... with THREE brand stickers detracting from its overall beauty. I really am not one to wave my brands around at people everywhere I go. I am 100% peeved that I paid this much just to be a rolling billboard for Arai. I am stunned. Come on, Arai. Give us a break. Give me a loose sticker and I'll put it on my TRUCK. PS: note I still gave the helmet all-star ratings across the board. It really is amazing. If you want 1st class, best-ever protection for your head... go Arai. January 12, 2016
Worth the money for a limited edition top-end helmet Realy nice helmet! I already start smiling when I think of her ;-). Finish of the helmet is better thgan can be seen on the pictures. There's a bit more shinyness on the finish. Even on the black air inlet at the chin. Excellent fit and comfortable weight. Airwing actually helps in stabalizing/fine tuning the helmet. Top of the line Arai, need to say more ? Top model Arai made for the track but I just wear it for everyday commute. Yes it's better and more stable in full tuck. But I got used to it in 3/4 and somewhat upright on my GS and multistrada . Work great for me..... My head is round oval and perfect for me after 4hour trip. No hotspots anywhere.. 59cm head size, I went with a large in Corsair V vs my RxQ in medium.... Both fit perfect and no drag at 135mph... September 29, 2015
Great fit, look & great price. Saw this helmet at the 2015 Isle of Man TT. Great graphics. I was looking for more of a racing helmet to use on track day, along of reminding me of the TT. I ordered a medium, which is the same size as my other Aria helmet. The fit is snug while still fitting comfortable. The price I paid was considerably lower than offered at the TT. No regrets in my purchase. September 14, 2015
