On night rides, lights out means the adventure’s over. Protect your bike’s headlight from rocks and debris. With the AltRider Headlight Guard Kit with Lexan and Stainless Steel Faces for the BMW R 1200 GS, you’ll never worry about a cracked headlight.
The woven steel mesh face shields your headlight and deflects danger. It’s held firmly in place by sturdy stainless steel arms that not only bolt onto the motorcycle’s frame using OEM hardware, but are also locked into position by the blinker stocks. Your headlight guard won’t shift or swivel.
If you prefer less of an off road appearance, use the Lexan face instead. Bullet-proof Lexan plastic protects the vulnerable headlight, and its scratch-resistant face will keep your path clearly lit.
Swapping the stainless steel and Lexan faces is a cinch. With a counter-clockwise quarter turn, the Dzus fasteners on the arms release, allowing you to change the guard's face or clean the guard and headlight easily.

Very good product that will provide excellent protection for the expensive GS headlight. I bought the "dual" function protector and can swap the stainless screen and lexan screen in less then a minute (this also allows for easy cleaning behind the guard). This item is form/function at it's best ...
I had the mounting arms, screen and mounts that hold the lexan cover all powder coated flat black. Black should be an option made available by manf.
