AltRider Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z Side Stand Foot
Nice Product, Poor Fit
I had the same problem with fit but didn't want to modify it if not necessary. I contacted AltRider and they know that this item does not fit all stock Tenere kickstands. They said they are probably going to redesign it in a few months so that it fits without needing to modify it. So I'm returning it to wait out a corrected version.

Fit great, after modification.
Great product but didn't fit right away. Called AltRider and was told there shouldn't be a issue. Well there was NO WAY all 4 screws were going on. I posted on the Super Tenere message boards, and low and behold... I wasn't the only one. Seems the rib/brace on the kickstand isn't "perfect" on the Teneres. Drilled a tiny hole, made a notch and BOOM, fit like a glove.

Works as advertised.
The foot extender really helps out when parking a top heavy bike like the S10 on questionable ground. The quality is excellent and it is a 5 minute install. It is a little pricey.

Great Product, not in stock, had to wait too long.
Like all AltRider products, the quality is top notch. However, this item was not in stock (not Revzilla's fault) and was not available for one month as it was supposed to be in production. Not acceptable, they should not have listed it until the item was on the shelf and ready to ship. Like most adventure riders, I want my stuff when ordered. Excuses are for amateurs!

Don't get that sinking feeling!
Added to a 2012 Super Tenere, I have not used it much but
it is a well made product and I already don't miss always trying
to find something to put under the stand. It works!

They should make the bike this way!
I gave it a 4 on bang for buck because it's kinda pricey for two small pieces of metal. But if you think of every time you've parked on dirt and had to scrape for a rock to put under your sidestand, this is worth it. I'm guessing it's about 3 times the surface area of the stock Tenere sidestand, and so far on sand and packed dirt it's been perfect. You can park your bike on practically any fairly level surface and not have to worry about it sinking in.
Two notes: On a perfectly flat surface, this doesn't lay perfectly flat on the ground, it's a little angled, but that doesn't hurt anything. And, since the foot is a little larger, when you stand on your pegs the back of your left foot hits this (because the stand is in the 'up' position). That hasn't bothered me at all riding with it.

Big stable foot
Works as advertised. Goes on quick with locktight on the threads. Provides a nise stable platform in the loose stuff. Never felt the bike was going to sink in and tip over even when fully loaded.
Thick steel has not deformed at all over 9000 miles.

With a bike that weighs > 600lbs fully loaded parked at a soft dirt campsite... brother, that stock stand footprint ain't going to cut it.
I'm a huge AltRider fan, and I've been happy with this relatively simple part ordered with the rest of my Altrider protection gear for my Super Tenere
