AltRider Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z Crash Bars
Now that you’re the proud owner of a Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z – or maybe have one on order – you want crash bars to protect it. Ours are built from one inch stainless steel so they’ll never rust, and feature beautiful hand TIG welds.
In designing these crash bars, we went through the trouble of maintaining the hidden connector in the front to yield a seamless system. Why is that important? It means the energy of a hard impact on one side can be transferred throughout the bars and to the other side. The three mounts on one side don’t have to take an entire impact load; instead, it is distributed across six mount mounts so none of them are overwhelmed. All of this is important because the crash bars will not only protect the fairing in the case of a crash, but also the Super Tenere’s exposed radiator.
We also conducted a thorough study to identify the bike’s contact points when on its side. This led to a crash bar design that offers a wide contact area between the crash bars and the ground. The other contact points will be the handlebar bar ends, and rear passenger peg – protecting the fairing, engine, radiator, and brake and shifter lever.
Additionally, we ensured the glove box side panel will have plenty of clearance to be easily removed while bars are still installed.

This is the best protection for the sides of this beautiful piece of engineering. Quality materials and craftsmanship are paramount on crash bars. Knowing they're stainless is great piece of mind because they won't rust after you scuff them! The forward cross member and the way these are anchored is designed to disperse the shock as evenly as possible. Don't skimp on this addition on your S10! Radiators are expensive and can strand you in the middle of nowhere.

These crash bars are so much nicer than the OEM crash bars. Bolt on easily and look great. All the welds are very clean and smooth. top quality product.

I installed these bars on my Yamaha Super Tenere, and am very impressed. I have installed crash bars from several other manufacturers on other bikes I've owned, and this was the first time that there was no fussing, banging, or cussing involved in the installation process. The fit and finish are excellent, and the installation directions are clear and straightforward. Once installed, the bars provide good access to the right side cover.

This bar fit perfectly and was easy to install. Only took about an hour including reading the instructions. The finish is outstanding powder coating. I have the black bars. I think this is very strong and will definitely be worth the investment.

Fit and finish are outstanding. Welds are amazing. Very easy installation even by one person. Great protection and both side covers and be removed with the crashbars installed!
The bars are very unobtrusive when installed, they seem to 'melt' into the bike.
