AltRider Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 Crash Bars

These premium crash bars drawn from 1 inch stainless steel tubing, protect your engine casing and plastics from the wrath of the pavement. The AltRider crash bars are designed for the impact load to be transferred to the frame, not the hardware (watch the video to see how this works). Unlike steel powder coated products, our black powder coated stainless steel crash bars won't ever rust, even after they're scratched. Installation is easy since the bars bolt on quickly using existing mounts. These crash bars match seamlessly with our aluminum skid plate for the ultimate protection combination.

Excellent fit, look strong. Took two hrs to install, because lack of space in the garage. Fit perfect, Nice look and strong hopefully I dont test it. February 19, 2013
Nice addition The installation was very easy once I got the bolts broken loose, The factory locktite makes using a normal hex wrench not the best choice. The bars are very sturdy and look great on the bike as well. October 8, 2012
Great product, easy install The fit and finish of this product is fantastic. Install took about 25 minutes total, and was a breeze. These crash bars look great, and add value to the bike. Hopefully I'll never have to use them, but if I do, I have no doubt that they'll hold up. Shipping was super fast after I ordered these bars. You can't go wrong with this product, it's fantastic! Do these bars lend them selves to the addition to highway pegs? If so do you sell any or have pictures of any installed with the AltRider Crash Bars?

Answer: 
Yes, the AltRider Crash Bars do lend themselves to the mounting of highway pegs as do the Givi Crash-bars. We do not currently have any pictures of that set up, but just added a VStrom 1000 to the Zilla stable and will be doing some additions and modifications, which will include crash bars and possibly pegs as well. Stay tuned!
