AltRider BMW F650GS / F700GS Crash Bars

Rough terrain can get the better of anyone, which is why we designed the AltRider Crash Bars for the BMW F 700 GS and F 650 GS Twin. Made from one inch stainless steel, it is sure to protect your engine in a fall.

These crash bars provide extensive coverage, guarding not only the engine itself but also the radiator and front plastics.

The bars are built with precision-manufactured mounts that fit directly into the existing motor mount, creating a robust connection that is secured with existing OEM fasteners on the top engine mounts. Torx fasteners are provided for the bottom mounts.

Unlike other crash bars, these do not use flanges or weak tabs and are not hung: they are actually mounted. Crafted with hand TIG welding, these black powder-coated stainless bars will hold up in spills and never even show signs of rust.

Protect your clutch cover, radiator, and front fairings with the system that doesn’t deflect or bend.

Great protective crash bars I have these on my 2011 F650GS and when we bought the same bike for my husband the first thing I did was call Revzilla to order a set for the new bike. The fit is excellent and, as always, Revzilla customer service is outstanding. April 22, 2013
Just installed with some difficulty I just installed these on my 2012 F650GS. Pros - Straightforward installation, with a very detailed installation manual and video available online I'm 6'3" and the bars are out of the way of my knees, the way they drop down from the top mount works well. My legs can touch them but they are not in the way, just feels like any other part of the bike. They look good installed, seems strong - though I have yet to drop the bike on them. I did lay the bike down gently in my garage on them, see picture. The weight was carried between the crash bars and the rear footpeg. Cons - I had difficulty with the alignment of the bars fitting up to my bike. It wasn't off a little bit, it was 1 or 2 inches off in a few places. I had to fight, pull, tug, and swear to get each bolt installed (even taking their advice at every step and not tightening any bolts until the end). I hope I never have to take these off again, or that the metal will adjust to the bike over time so they fit better. I was, eventually, able to get everything in place after one or two cross-threaded bolts and a nearly stripped allen head (that bolt won't be usable again). I would recommend two people for the installation. November 2, 2012

Great quality and easy to install Good looking (I got a sliver one and it looks great on my F650gs). It seems very rugged and well built...worth every penny I paid. Suggestion: It could be better if there is more protection on radiator. (wrapping around the corner of it) February 7, 2011

Altrider's website seems to have two pages, one for the 650 and one for the 800. The pictures look the same to me and I don't see on revzilla's site that it mentions the 800.
