Proteciton

  • Foam backed, double density ankle protector on the medial side.
  • Brushed black anodized aluminum ankle protector. Note: Picture shows silver, they are actually black.
  • Internal heel counter and toe counter layered under the leather.
  • Contoured, injected high modulus polyamide midsole and high modulus plastic shank reinforcement.
  • Removable anatomically profiled EVA foam footbed.
  • The Stella Gran Torino Gore-Tex® Boot boot is CE certified.

Pricey, but worth it Fantastic boots! Far more comfortable than my previous touring boots. After purchasing at the Philly showroom, I rode virtually every day in them across the country to Joshua Tree, CA, enjoying the comfort and security they provided. They held up well in the rain and remained waterproof after getting inundated when I rode through a couple of deep puddles. They are comfortable off the bike, even while walking decent distances. They get a bit hot in warm temps; a forgivable offense given the level of protection they offer. Finally, they are on the expensive side, but it is a case of "you get what you pay for" here. Worth it! These are my "Star Trek boots"! They are pretty much perfect in every way. If you have thicker calves, be aware - they fit fine, but you might have trouble bundling socks/pants underneath. I've worn these through the summer (100+ degrees) and into the winter - my toes start getting really cold after about 1/2 an hour in 30 degree weather even with multiple layers of socks (now I have heated socks - problem solved!) Looks good, feels great! I loved these boots the second I stepped into them. They were immediately comfortable, which was a bit of a surprise, no break-in period required! A true "Cinderella" moment :) I got the boots just before leaving on a weekend riding trip and they were amazing the whole time; I experienced great comfort while both riding and walking around. The only slight complaint I have is that I wish they would have put the shifter patch on the right toe as well, to a lesser degree for symmetry, but mostly protection because I ended up gouging the leather on the top of the right foot when I accidently scraped it under my brake pedal, but other than that, these boots are all aces and I would recommend them without hesitation. Unfortunately, these boots will not fit inside the legs of a racing suit. We recommend either the Dainese Axial Pro In Boots, Torque Pro In Boots, or TRQ Race In Boots that are designed to fit and secure inside a Dainese racing suit.
