style over quality I bought this suit a year ago and wore it to about 12 track days. It was never super-comfortable (I am long-waisted) but it eventually formed to my body. I came off the bike on my last track day, slid about 100 feet on track & gravel (on hands & butt) and the suit was worn through; the Germans I was with tsk-tsked about the stitching not being double and the leather being thin. I had a big hole in the back that we taped up for the rest of the day; I then threw the suit away and bought one from another leading Italian brand (I know it is very hard to find suits for women....) that I had to good fortune to come across. So far so good...and the leather is beautiful. February 9, 2013
Fit was totally off I gave this 3 stars because I like the styling and features, but it just didn't fit. I'm 125 lbs, 5'2" and wear a size 6, so I ordered a 42/size 6 suit. I have a Stella leather jacket the same size and it fits just right. When I tried this suit on, I could barely get it over my shoulders. I found the torso too short (even for my petite frame) and the shoulders too narrow. I couldn't stand without the suit pushing uncomfortably into the crotch area. When I added a back protector, I couldn't get the suit over my shoulders without help. I wasn't able to zip the calves until I took out the protective armor, either, which made it pointless. Overall, while I really like the styling and features, the fit was totally off I'm sending it back. June 5, 2012
Show! The suit it's beautiful and female. I was afraid to be rude, but the innovative design make the suit sexy and glamorous. These suit have also reassured confidence in riding at high speeds. Protections in the knee that can be exchanged and zipper very resistant. I'm ready to hit the road. February 25, 2012

Answer: 
While we do not have the exact weight for this particular suit, we did contact Alpinestars for additional information and they have informed us that their suits will weight approximately 8-10lbs, with weight increasing or decreasing slightly with size.
