Crash Tested: A+ Went down in a low-speed crash at roughly 25 miles an hour. Locked the front wheel up and went off the front of the handlebars. Ended up doing a roll after placing my hands out in front of me. The gloves protected my palms and knuckles from any road rash or broken bones. Only damage to the glove was a scuff on the carbon fiber knuckle pad. Highly recommended. February 1, 2016
Good gloves, they take a little breaking in Great gloves, full protection, knuckles won't get hurt in these things. The small velcro strap near the wrist portion has something to be desired with the flap that goes over it. It can be difficult to get the velcro right when you're putting the last glove on. I had to wear them around the house and open and close my hand a bit to stretch them in. I wear a Large and they fit like... ready? Like a GLOVE! Definitely enough protection, could have been handy to have a legit squeegie on them for wiping them visors. But if your cager friend gets in an accident you could easily extract him by punching out a windshield with the knuckles in these suckers. They were actually pretty comfortable on a 38*F day ride with no other hand protection. They are perforated, I wasn't expecting it but they do get pretty stiff when cold. March 4, 2016
Great gloves for the price I preordered the gloves in August 15 and have been riding with almost daily for 3+ months thanks to the Tx "winter". Well worth the wait! The gloves have remained comfortable in as low as 40 degree to 80 degree weather, commuting and hour long rides. They broke in quickly and didn't cause any fatigue during the process like my previous gloves, yet seem well built and feel they offer great protection on the street. I really like the underside wrist Velcro to snug the gloves up with no pinching or binding. February 24, 2016
Great fit, but sized large These are a good, quality glove. They're comfortable but sturdy. I usually have trouble fitting to my palm and shorter fingers, but these do the trick. I used the sizing chart, measured to my palm, and hoped for the best. I'm very happy with the fit, but those with long fingers may not be so fortunate. January 28, 2016
Very good, but there is an alternative I tried these on locally so I knew exactly what I was getting. Just for kicks, I tacked on a pair of Cortech Latigo RR 2 gloves to my order since they had good reviews and were almost half the price of the SP-1. Wow, I'm glad I did. I urge you to try the Latigo RR 2 gloves as an alternative to these. Very similar to the SP-1 in function, fit, style, and quality, but for less dough. The SP-1 did not disappoint and I do recommend them, but I'm returning them and keeping the Latigos. January 11, 2016
A* SP-1 Gloves I had to retire an older pair of SP-1 gloves, and tried a few different pairs from other manufacturers. I wound up back with A* for fit, and comfort. these run a little larger than the prior models of SP-1. I wear a large in these, where i i was an XL in my prior pairs. very well made, not sure how they do in a crash but seem durable. great compromise between street and track gloves. Revzilla was great on returns and customer service as always. November 23, 2015
A lot of glove for little price. I bought the glove wanting more protection for the street and a few track days. This bridges the gap beautifully. I love the way they feel with the controls lots of feedback and Really good airflow.!!! November 14, 2015
i wouldn't ride with anything less. These gloves are awesome. I love the idea of the pinky bridge, and it doesn't get in the way at all. A minor complaint, that might resolve itself after being thoroughly broken in, is the interior seams on my right hand. My index and middle finger nails catch on the leather seams sometimes. I live in Southern California and have been using these gloves in 100+ weather. They are super comfortable, and I feel like if I did go down, my hands and wrists would be well protected.
