Unfortunately, not happy with these. Very comfortable and good looking. However, one track day and one laundering, and these appear to have been run through a shredder. They looked fine before laundering, but pilled unbelievably after only one washing (per directions). October 14, 2014
Cool & Comfortable A little thinner than I expected, but seems to be of good quality. Very comfortable, and very cool. After a few washings, they seem to be holding up well. October 13, 2014
Good match for MX / Adventure Boots Feel comfortable and are better than regular cotton socks. Good match for tall boots! My boots size is 13, so I bought the socks in size LG-XL and fits perfect. As always Alpinestars delivers good products. September 20, 2014
Just what I needed These socks are fantastic. Airflow is good. Recommended. September 1, 2014
Bad wear on first use Comfortable socks, breath well - but..... Worn in Alpinestars Toucan boots, the fabric pulled thread loops badly on first use. I had multiple pairs and each did the same. Loops of string pulled out all over the socks. I purchased for a 3 week trip and they performed for that, but with a lot of pulled thread loops. I think they'll still work fine, but they look bad. No issues with cheap cotton athletic socks in same boots. August 26, 2014
No "bang for the buck" here They have the advantage of being taller than a normal crew sock and that is about the only clear advantage I can tell. I have about 90 days experience with these socks now and will routinely ride these socks or with pure cotton long crew socks as well. Same boots all the time. I can tell no difference in "wicking" of moisture nor can I tell any difference in "coolness" of my feet when I ride. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against these socks but the only reason I will recommend them is their overall length. The added length will keep your boots off of your legs. August 25, 2014
Great Value! I really love these socks! They are totally awesome!!! Everything considered, they are a great value! They work just as good as the Klim Vented Socks but cheaper. They keep your feet nice and cool and they come up very high so it's great for wearing them with boots. Be careful with velcro! They have the same issues with velcro. Velcro loves to chew on them for lunch. My first pair got snagged from the velcro. I had the same thing happen to my Klim socks, you would think that I would learn but... Oh well, it happens... Very comfortable for a long days ride. Very comfortable for a long days ride. Even when the temperature ranges between 50 and 85+ degrees, my feet didn't feel cold, sweaty or uncomfortable at any point. I wear the socks with my A-Stars Toucan boots. They don't move around or sag during the days ride either and stay in position very well. August 18, 2014

Brigham M: That should work. I wear a 10.5 shoe size and wear the LG/XL socks. Wore them for a 6 hour race day last weekend and was very pleased with fit and breathability.
I wish Alpinestars would put some sort of sizing chart for these on their site.

Tom C: In my opinion, yes. I wear a 7 boot, 7.5 shoe and they're small enough to fit well, but they'll easily stretch for a 8.5 size. May 25, 2014

David U: Pretty much a sock for warmer weather....I ride in Florida and am headed to Moab in May....bought them for warmer weather riding. Not a thick sock....they cover the whole calf......and stay in place...very important for me. Glad I bought them. Mar 10, 2014

Pete W: They are really nice socks et would also be good for Autumn weather ... I would wear them over here in winter (in a boot, not shoe) but our winters in New Zealand are pretty mild compared to some with temps around 8 to13 degrees celcius. Mar 10, 2014
