ONe piece
My first one piece, never dragged a knee, ride a Triumph Daytona 675. From what I have been told my bike has an extremely aggressive position.

So to start off, wow does this thing move air. I haven't bought and under suit and don't think I will, just rock some Under armor underwear with or without t-shirt and with the amount of air thing moves you will be cool. I live in PA and mid 70-80 days are no problem. If anything it is my helmet that gets me hot.

As for size, when I measured everything, I came out to be a 48EUR/38US All my measurements came out right in the middle of right at the top for each section. Example, chest for 48/38 let's say is 45.5cm-47.5 cm, (Not actual size for 48/38) I came out to be a 46 or in some other areas came out to be a 47.5, nothing was bigger or smaller than what the 48/38 came out to be in all the measured areas of the body. Well got it in the mail in no time, fit pretty good but when in the riding position the stretch panels were at the max in just a modest tuck, full tuck or leaning off and it just felt horrible and restrictive. Sent it back and went with a 50 and man is it perfect Just ever so slightly tight in the knees but after a few rides that is gone.

So I would say if you measure out to be perfect in one size form the A* size chart. do yourself a favor and go up just one size. I'm 5'9-5'10 158-160lbs with a decent build, workout 4-5 days a week and I measured to be a 48/38 perfect in all areas but had to get a 50/40. Enjoy this suit, can't even tell I am wearing it.

Really great value, little on the small side
I bought this suit in red/white/black not really sure whether it would be over the top or not. It's not, looks good without being over the top.

I looked at a bunch of suits and tried on several from other manufacturers and a lot of different price ranges. In the end I think this suit represents an absolutely terrific value for the "casual" street rider who occasionally goes to the track. Really really great quality product.

I'd say a little on the tight side, but I think that's because I have a bit of a tummy these days. I'm hoping it will loosen up. I'm 6'0", about 195 lbs. Bought a 54 (44 US). Height is perfectly fine - it felt short at first but once I got my boots on it seems like this is the exact correct length. Mainly tight in the chest and gut area. If you're a big guy with a tummy I'd suggest going up a size from what you think you should order.

Molds well to body during use
Mine may end up being a bit too large because I didn't expect it to mold itself SO well during use. Take my review as information, not comparison since it's my first suit, but I'm very pleased with my purchase as I'm confident all newbies will be. I'm a big guy, so the sleeves and legs are a bit long, but it still feels good on the bike. Not bulky or flappy. Very happy with it!

Great Suit
I bought this suit with a little apprehension because it wouldn't technically fit me according to the size chart. I'm 5'5", 168lb, 33" waist, and 40" chest. Size 50 was the closest to me, but it would be long. Well when I got it and tried it on, it fit like a glove. I was very happy with the fit. A little tight at first, but after two track days now, I can slip in and out of it no problem. It's quite comfortable, flows a decent amout of air, and when coupled with the A* chest and back protectors, I felt very protected.

Great 1st suit excellent value
Since this is my first 1 piece suit i dnt have much to compare it too. But it is a great looking low cost suit. It is comfy to wear off and on the bike! It is just missing elbow and knee sliders but thats what u get for 800 bucks.

Sizing, im 5'10 rather thin, i got a 50 to fit a bak protector underneath. I have an alpinestars race vest but its to bulky and prevents me from leaning into turns properly so i am pickin up a forcefield back protecor solely for the suit.

Is money a big obstacle? Looking for a nice suit? Pick this up!!

Good fit
Good fit and very comfortable, I'm 6'2" and a little on the bigger athletic side, I bought a US size 50, no issues putting on and it is snug like a suit should be, no leather bunching up in any area at all. My first track day with it felt good, and didn't require to much break in to move around on the bike.

Awesome suit! Great deal!
I needed a new suit and did a lot of homework . I watched the helpful videos and learned more about racing style suits than ever before. Now that i am getting older i dont ride the track as much as i used to ,so i didnt need a full race version.I took the chance on this suit because of the price and the style, plus you cant beat the free exchange . I have owned many suits in the past but never owned an A stars. The protection is more than i thought it would be and the fit couldnt be more perfect. This is a perfect suit for the Mid level Racer or Trackday guy. If you are in the market for a new suit, do yourself a favor, try this one! It is a great price! great fit ! I bought size 44/54 I am 5'10" 175 pounds it fits me perfect, even with my back protector. Travis Yamaha R1 , Florida

big guys beware they run a tad small!
my first race suit. I'm a big guy at 6'3 250lbs and built so its really hard finding a suit that fits…especially if you guys have big arms and calves this suit is gonna be a pain to get on and off lol i ordered a size 62…it fits well and theres a lot of extra fabric in the midsection as if A stars projected a guy with a beer belly to wear this …and good luck getting it off once your hot and sweaty lol underarmour or water wicking base material is very recommended…if you wear any under protection like back or chest protectors go a size up…overall though it moves air quite nicely and is super comfortable in the 3/4 or tuck position…just do your research on sizing and i would definitely recommend this product

1) New to trackdays 2) great reviews on this item 3) positioned well (while I knew I was not buying pro-level gear, I also was not made to feel I was buying 'training-wheels' that would only be discarded later, and 4) recommended by Hubert at Revzilla.
Thomas K on Jan 29, 2015
Not the most expensive or highest level of racing protection but at half the price or less this suit is a sound choice for protection, style and features. Beautifully made, lots of venting for Florida and great looking. Can't wait for my first race day in it.

Every experience I've had with A-stars gear has been great. It's also not easy to find gear larger than 50/60 and the price was pretty fair. Revzilla's return policy is amazing. It will only cost me like $8 to return if this doesn't fit me.

Hi.
For the alpinestars table I have a 52.
I have a backprotector Dainese wave air 12. It is good for this suit? The size will be the same?
Thank you!
A S on May 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: i dont know much about the Dianese back protectors. I use an Alpinestars back protector that wraps around my midsection, meaning it doesnt attach to my suit. I have plenty of room and it is comfortable to wear. Other suits i have worn , it was un comfortable to wear the back protector
Im a little confused here, My height is 5'9'' and my weight 160lb with pretty normal build. It came out that im a size EUR48 according to Alpinestar size chart. once I had the suit on, I could BARELY move, (very hard to sit and put my boots by my self ). I read here that this is the right perfect for me. Is that normal for a new suit??? should i wait to loosen up?? or go for a bigger size?? I will aprecciate your help
Luis G on Sep 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I had trouble getting it on at first and needed help getting it off, but it has stretched some and my technique is better. I also have an underarmor that helps.
Hey guys,

I'm concerned about the size. My pant size is a 29" waist, 30" length (inseam). Arm is 22". Thigh is 20". My chest is 38" And my height is 5'9" (I have short legs, a long neck, and skinny frame). So, from what I can tell from reviewing the Alpinestars size chart, I need to order a size 46, but I only see the option for 48. Is that because the size is out of stock, or they just don't go that small for this product? It looks like I might be able to pull off a 48, but I'm worried about the legs being too long.

Any suggestions? Thanks so much for your feedback.

-C
Caleb C on Feb 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The smallest size is 48 - I just checked in the Alpinestars website. These suits are projected for tall and fit guys, but can fit little overweight guys (like me...kkk)...Our height is almost the same - I am 5'10". We are in the under limit for the suit. You may have a small problem with the legs and arms lenght but there are a bunch of specialized people that works with race suits ajustments that can help you. If you feel the suit a little big, you have to ajust it because the protections must have in the right place (knees, chest, etc) in order to protect you. So, adjust the suit is no big deal and I am sure that you can google that in your area and you will find specialized professionals that work with it.
I hope that helps you ! Take care ! Ride safe !
Does the suit have any pockets for ID/Credit cards?
Jean-Christophe A on Feb 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. There are 2 pockets that are in the liner of the suit, located on each side of the chest (same location as you would find on the inside of a suit jacket). A piece of velcro at the top of the pocket keeps it closed. I can easily fit my iPhone 6 in one pocket and my thin card holder in the other (both pockets appear to be the same size) (and no, I don't keep my cell phone on me when I'm on track). The pockets are easy to access once you unzip the suit about 1/3 of the way down.
?
I haven't bought or even tried on a racing suit yet, but I'm trying to figure out what would be closest for me in Alpinestars sizing. I'm 6'3" 190lbs and wear 34x34 pants, so it's a struggle finding clothes for the slim & lanky build. Thanks in advance!
A shopper on Sep 6, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I am 6'1" and a lean but big ass'ed n thighed 205. i got the 46/56 suit in wht/blk. it fits me a little snug but im still breaking it in......but at 190 it should fit u perfect......if it doesn't Revzilla has a great return policy to exchange it.....Good luck and the suit is badd ass, my first Trackday was so much better with this suit!!, Jason
I love the look of this track suit (blk/yellow), Unfortunately I am a woman. Alpinestar only makes one suit for women and it has NO color. Does anyone know how comfortable this suit would fit a 5'8 140lb woman??
A shopper on May 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I can't say for sure, but your best bet is to look at the measurements in the size chart and see where you stand. My take is that these suits run 1 size small, so for example I bought a 54 (44 US) but I normally wear a 42 US suit coat. The fit is very snug. I suspect you'll find that the smallest sizes may work fine. It's also on the short side, so the length will probably not be a problem.

I can also say that the crotch is pretty tight, and it has this flexible kevlar material (not leather), so that should be ok. The chest area is pretty tight. I think Revzilla has a great return policy, so you can try it and see.

Last thing I'd say is that the quality is fantastic at this price point. Much better than similar suits as similar prices. I ride it almost daily (commute), and the suit is holding up fantastically after about 1 yr. Like a second skin for me.
For the Alpinestars table, my size is 52.
I have a Dainese Wave Air 12 back-protector. Is it good for this suit?
The size can change with not an Alpinestars back protector?
Thank you!
A shopper on May 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The AlpineStars back-protector is smaller and has the same efficience, but I know your back protector and It should not be a problem as long as your suit is not too tight in your belly region. Hope it helps.
Would you recommend this suit for the autobhan in Germany?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Sweaty as would any leather suit be if just sitting still on a hot day, but once you get even a modicum of speed going, it is incredibly comfortable. My only recommendation is to get a different liner, but the provided mesh liner comes with the shoulder and hip padding sewn in and the mesh tends to get caught and ripped on the velcro bits. It's also a pain to slip sweaty limbs through as it bunches just after the elbows and knees, so it takes careful work to keep from ripping again.
Thought I should ask this as question as may not be seen... is there space beneath the sliders to wear motocross boots with these? Thanks.
A S on Dec 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There is a bit of room between my street boots and sliders. My dirt bike boots a just a bit taller than my racing boots. I think it would be a tight fit
Would this suit work on a Supermoto? Concerned it may be a little too pre molded in a race position... Also could I wear motocross boots with it? I'm think I will be a size 52 as I am a slim to normal 6ft with 42* chest, is the right?
A shopper on Dec 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes no problem. The suit will work great for Super moto. Just remember to add for any back, or chest protection when sizing the suit. It's a great suit. Fits great and looks sharp in photos. Better it be a little big than small. GoI'd luck.
